Reputable car Gap Insurance dealers?

Having recently bought a new car I was made aware of Gap Insurance at the dealership. The price offered there seemed high so I had a look around on the internet and found some much cheaper.
However, can anyone help with advising of any companies that they know are genuine and good to deal with. My fear is purchasing a policy from a company and then finding that the policy or company are virtually void.
Many thanks

Hi just Google Gap Insurance.
Make sure that they are regulated to provide gap insurance. you can check this by typing in their FSA on number on the FSA register. http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/home.do. Also make sure that the policies are backed by the financial services compensation scheme.
This means that in the uncertain times we live in even if the provider is no longer around to settle your claim their is a body waiting to pick up the claim. The amount you can claim depends on the purchase price but again you can check on the government websites http://www.fscs.org.uk/
good luckHappiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0
