Can you explain how solar panels can increase your electricity bill? ...

    By not working.

Hence the electricity bills are higher than they would have been had they been working.

(At least, that's the way I read it.)

Ah right. Not "increased electricity bills" though.

Just missing out on a potential savings.

Hi, we also had a system installed by them last December and since the government changed the FII payments they have disappeared.

I to have been trying to get the welcome pack they promised and also the information about the buy-out options offered as we will be selling the house in a few years time and wanted to offer this to whoever purchases it, but have never been able to get anything from them.

I keep getting the odd phone call to ask what the meter reading is and I always ask where the pack is, or at least some method of contacting them in the event of a fault. Of course I get nothing.

Next time i'm not going to give them the information they ask for.

I am considering contacting our energy company to see who they send the FIT payments to, has anyone else tried this approach?

I'm also going to contact the Oldham Chronicle to see if they can help.

Perhaps we should join forces to see what we can do about this state of affairs?

    Tony.

Does anyone know what the legal implications are if I turned off the panels (they are still generating at the moment)?

I have tried numerous email addresses and have in two instance received a reply from a Debbie Healer, copy of one below. This was dated 6th February.

    Good morning Mr Culpin

I am aware that we have had several difficulties with the phone lines in our area, so can only appologise for this problem. I am in the office from 9-5pm on 0845-8681111. Solar For Everyone has never had a website address it is Solar Energy 4 Free. However as their is so much uncertainty in the solar industry at present, due to the feed in tariff court case. We legally cannot continue to offer free solar installations until this is resolved, so have taken the web page down so as not to attract new customers at this moment in time.

Your customer handover pack was posted out to you approximately 2 weeks ago, I will contact our after service team and get this duplicated and re-sent. The lease you signed has all the buy out details in, I will have it scanned and emailed over to your address as soon as possible. I myself have had no further emails since I last spoke to you, so can appologise for not replying. I do remember having a problem with sending emails to you and you were going to look into it, if you could re-send them, I will deal with them as a matter of urgency.

Please can I put your mind at rest, and reassure you that any queries you have will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

    Mant thanks
