Afternoon allJust spotted this and thought of Flutterbye - robot hoover!!
:rotfl: I did see that this morning. I was half tempted, but then again there is always 'stuff' on my floors so would be no good! :rotfl: I have bought a Vax one now, it was half price in asda and had good reviews.
Busy morning with work kids, final day of shovelling and wheelbarrowing! We had 2 PCSO's helping out today, one of whom was easy on the eye
. I wanted the PCSO's to get involved cos lots of mine have a negative view of the police so this will help break down the barriers. The people from charity who we were helping out popped down to say thank you for all the hard work.
I was a little naughty and acquired a big wheelbarrow full of wood from the site for my parents log burner
my Dad is on his way over now to collect it.
Popped to Morrisons to get a few bits, they have some good veg/fruit deals on at mo. Pack of 4 pears/4 apples/bag of 6 baking spuds/bag of 6 onions/small bag of carrots are all 30p each, bargain!
No uni today as it's half term, but I still get my study leave
. I'm going to spend all afternoon working on my uni work anyways, once my Dad has been.
OS wise - WM on with very dirty clothes in! shopping put away, recycling sorted, frozen some LO's
Have a good day all

Just to let you know that I am still alive and hopping
I broke my glasses 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for my new pair to arrive, so I have had to use a pair that are over 20 years old which means any close work or computer stuff has had to be put on hold
I am hopeful that they will be here on Friday so I will hope to see you all then and catch up on the goss :rotfl: x xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi chums I was intending to get some shopping today but dd phoned and said they were all going to Whitstable for a bracing walk along the front with the dogs so i got roped in as well.Boy was it bracing DD came away with a windburned face all very rosy red down one side The dogs loved it though and the boys did some more skimming of stones across the sea.We did take the bucket and line to 'crab' but the tide was too rough. We did manage to eat our picnic even though it was a bit chilly and I said only the daft English can sit on a beach in February with the wind whipping us about and picnic !!!We then decided to go on to Herne bay and I took the boys into the Ice cream parlour for hot chocolate to warm us up and DD and OH walked the dogs out along the sea penisula there Braver than I was as it is breezy there even in the summer.Still it blew the cobwebs away and hot chocolate with whipped cream was delicious and a rare treat for us all.
I am off to dinner at DDs tomorrow night as it would have been my 50th wedding anniversary tomorrow and she didn't want me to be on my own, bless her.
I had a phone call from the local council and they have taken all my details and they are being passed on to the O/therapist for assesment of my needs for my house re gadgets to make my life a bit easier with my mobility and arm restrictions .She didn't know how long it would be before I heard from them though as they are very busy apparently
Eldest DD is on her way home from Torquay she seems to have had a good time although she said she had a mishap and spilled a cup of coffee on her OHs IPad and he isn't a happy bunny as the sound is not good at the moment, so she is in the doghouse.
Well time for a nice cuppa and feet up and some knitting I think
take care all

hi all,
been for my interview with hr about my "situation". i have been thinking constantly and although im scared why should my family loose out on all that money cos im a baby. in my interview i had to basically give all the facts yet again and then they will get all the witnesses to give their statements. they gave no view of how they were feeling about it but they did say that i didnt owe the bloke an apology for swearing at him as i was pushed to my limit. the feeling at work was there are too many witnesses that all say she was in the wrong. she has phoned h r herself and said she was angry that i swore at her boyfriend. im a little worried that ive been far to easy on her in my statements always saying im sure she didnt mean it etc etc. i dont know. im going bacck to work on tuesday ive told them im really nervous so im going to do a week and see how i feel.i know after ive done a couple of days ill be ok.
today felt better in myself so tidied round and did some bits. ive had a headache since it happened so i need to take it slow. o s today - woke up and my bread was cooked and totally flat.....i opened it and said i know how u feel mate:rotfl:
got a big tidy through tomorrow to do AND in my stress about what to do .... ive got an interview. its only 3 hrs a week but its at a nice place and i can fit it in. its 6 weeks work but as i work for the council and its still a council building i can slot right in. not much but a need extra anyway so can still do it with the other two jobs. job one is 17 hrs job 2 is 9 hrs and the third job - if i get it is 3 hrs a week. so three jobs sounds a lot but still under 30 hrs.
hope ur all ok and BITZY BEANS im not joking a cat bringing a mouse in is my biggest nightmare. was it alive?? ive had one cat that brought in a live mouse and it ran up the curtain between the curtain and the lining and the cat ruined it by running up and down the curtains to try get the mouse:eek::eek::eek:
sorry guys thats an essay!!!!!!!!0 -
Wuvvies sending you hugs and positive vibes. Hope it all works out OK. I'm like you I hate confrontation and if anything happens at work I just stress over it and get myself in a state but very rarely say anything. Hope your headaches goes soon and good luck with the interview.£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund

Hugs wuvvies xxx yes mouse was alive but still firmly between her teeth. She killed it and left outside. Caught her this morning trying to decapitate it :eek:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Bitsy: our cat once came in with a dead mouse that she was tossing up in the air and pouncing on it when it landed. I was screaming like a banshee and yelling to OH to take the mouse away from the cat and get rid of it. He told me to stop making a silly fuss and settled back into his armchair with the newspaper. The mouse sailed up into the air again and came down on his forehead and slid down behind his spectacle lens. I have never seen a man leap straight out of an armchair so high.
Then it wasn't me making a silly fuss. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
RosyRed: Yes, it's got to me. I am even more doolally than usual. Trouble is I always wake up several times in the night anyway, but sleep quite well between about 4.00 and 8.00am. At the moment I am trying to exist on about 4 - 5 hours broken sleep. Never mind, it will all work out in the end. I'm going off now to see if I can get a bit of early shut-eye.
Wuvvie: Hang on in there, you are doing really well. It was good that you were very civilised when talking about the unpleasant one, it will show that you are a nice person and they are likely to take it more seriously when you do complain. They will know that you are not a person who exaggerates the situation. Well done.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hi everyone
Actually have a tear in my eye at all the lovely posts, thank you and I have taken head of your advice and got another appointment for tomorrow afternoon with my far more caring doctor that i normally see so hopefully we'll be moving forward soon.
Not too much in the way of OS today, in fact the total opposite. Took a little trip to livingstons designer outlet and spent £270 on LE creuset pots and casserole dishes!
My logic was that they have a lifetime guarantee and are excellent quality (?) and I am stressed out about tomorrow scan so thought I deserved the treat .
Hope everyone has had a good day and not fell as tremendously off the OS wagon as I have.0
