  • Good morning chums and beautiful sunny morning it is as well. Not warm but just to see the sun is a pick-me-up.DD and I and the boys had a lovely day out at Bodiam Castle, they did the knights trail and won a big chocolate sovreign each We took a picnic (although it was a bit nippy, and ate it in the car)after that we went off to Hastings and had a walk along the front and the boys spent half an hour skimming stones on the beach (they are cheap monkeys to take out and find fun almost anywhere) then DD allowed them a pound a piece in the arcades and Mikey won a small stuffed bird and a teddy bear broach for his Mum which he was so thrilled by as Mum pinned it to her coat,he also found a quid left in one of the machines and they split it up between them All 'finds ' are divided equally in that family.
Got home around six with four happy young boys who had been as good as gold and I came home and put my feet up for the evening. Not too sure what I'm doing today I think maybe I shall be roped in to do a 'tip' run as DD has lots of left over bits that need to be tipped from the decorating,so I shall enlist DGS Ben's help as he is 16 and strong enough to 'hump' bits in and out of the car.Hopefully I shall hear from the carpet shop as to when they will be coming to lay my new carpet in my bedroom this week
Have a great day what ever you are doing and <<hugs>> to those who are down or sad

    Morning all,

Beautiful day here :Tnice and sunny with a slight breeze, unfortunatly I do not have any washing to do, feels wrong not having the machine on.

Today I was going to take my dd to the pictures to see The woman in black as a half term treat, but she has decided that she would rather go charity shop shopping :money:, so we are off to the local town of many charity shops, think I will treat her to lunch out, we will see the woman in black when it comes to our local cheap cinema.

DD is after some coloured t-shirts, we did that thing yesterday where you draw a design on a t shirt, and then paint bleach on the top with a paintbrush, we saw it on super scrimpers, anyway it looks great, so she is keen to try some more.

Dinner tonight is chicken curry with rice, I kept some of the sauce from when we last had a takeaway so it makes my curry taste so much better.

Need to have a quick tidy round, and put some washing away.

Wuvvie, you stick to your ground no one deserves to be treated that way xx

Rebecca Phone your Dr's and insist on an appointment with your gp xx

    Have good days all x

Morning all. It's a long time since I was able to say that.

It's hard getting out of bed at 5.00am but it has its rewards. When we have finished in the church hall and got back home it feels as though we are halfway through the morning, and it's still before 9.00am. However, by 10.30 I am looking for my lunch!

Vicarage is out for dinner today, so I will be having something quick and eggy.

Finished another scarf for the Xmas Fair and just about to knit a hat to go with it. I'm loving getting some of my wool hoard used up. When I have done the hat I will be making lots of little knitted chicks with a Cadbury's Creme Egg in their tummies - another good fund-raiser.

rebecca: hope you have a better day today. It seems we are all worrying about you so get back to the doctors ASAP.

Lou: Well done on the 'dry night' front.

Have started sorting out all my paperwork but I can see that it's going to take more than a week.

Off to do a bit more and get my bedroom sorted.

    Happy day everyone.

monnagran those knitted chicks sound lovely
    ((hugs)) to everyone in need

I've just been to the docs about allergies and constantly drowning in my own snot and have booked in for a blood test next week- why can't they just do it there and then like my old surgery? I'm getting tested for allergies, mineral deficiencies, coeliac disease, hormones and lots of lovely immune diseases. Otherwise it's just old fashioned rhinitis and ibs lovely...
Lots to get done today with applications, uni work, post office etc but lots of time to do it in so it's okay! I sold some limited edition MAC makeup and nip+fab products on ebay and they all went for much more than I paid for them- very chuffed :) I need to update my savings and GC sig. Think I will go to Natwest after the postoffice and bug them to give me more than 0.000001% on my ISA or i'll be going to another bank a few doors down.
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
  • Adelight I have an online ISA with nationwide which gives me 3.25% interest rate. You have to open a flex account with them as that becomes the feeder account to the ISA but worth it for that interest rate with relative easy access.

Tired here. Luna didn't seem as tired last night and cried more and took longer to settle. Killer cat then decided to bring in a mouse at 3am so had to get up and chase her out of the house. Living on coffee today.
Made some twinks so far, got some vile choc spread from Lidl to use up, need to see if I can add it to a cake or muffins or something or am afraid it will be binned.
Not sure what's form tea tonight, something quick and easy as I'll be asleep by then :o

Sorry not caught up with yesterday's thread. Hugs and spoons all round.

Butterfly brain where are you??? Xx

Posi-vibes for Wuvvies today - and don't feel you're a wuss, I'd be exactly the same. But you have the moral high ground here - and all of your online pals rooting for you.

make a nuisance of yourself til you get some satisfaction. You shouldn't have to suffer like that, and you certainly shouldn't be fobbed off.

Dylan has arrived! He's absolutely beautiful, big brindled greyhound, and a real sweetie, so I don't think much work is going to be done here for the next 5 days.:D He's very tactile, and constantly wants to be stroked.:o

Sadly neither of them will eat it. DD thinks porridge is yucky and DS won't deviate from his beloved weetabix :rotfl:

Cake recipe Ideas here I come :)

Hi all, hope everyone is having a good day.Mine is disappearing fast-don't know where it's gone-only just finished my lunchtime cuppa.I've been out with Ds1 as he had an emergency appt at the dentist this morning-he felt something crack while chewing & it seems the tooth has broken but above the gum line so he has to go back on Saturday after a temp job today. It will involve cutting into the gum, removing a dead root and putting a false root in and wait for it all to heal before putting a crown or something back.Sounds nasty (not to mention expensive :()Anyway I nipped in Hobbycraft for a potter while he was in,resisted temptation & only bought some colouring for my next batch of soap, and a spring time stamp so I can make cards next week with DNiece.

DH & DS2 came home for lunch and I've been trying to print out a letter so they could call at the post box on the way back out.DH put new ink in at the weekend and it wasnt playing ball:mad: Had to clean the heads several times-seems ok now and his letters duly posted.

Think its fish cakes for tea so thats easy enough to get them from the freezer :rotfl:so I'm going to spend some time in my sewing den.

Wuvvies - I'm sorry you find yourself in this position,I completely understand where you are coming from as I hate to make a fuss and am generally a quiet person.I did the same thing once and gave my notice in when I was asked to do something I shouldnt have been asked to do,so I'm a wuss too.Now when I think about it I should have gone to the union, but couldnt face the hassle as my Dad was terminally ill at the time.It is a shame you should be the one to miss out on a well paid job though when you were just trying your best (((hugs)))

Rebecca,I'd try to see another doctor if you could (((Hugs)))
Monnagran-are the early starts not catching up with you yet-think they would for me,but well done for all you do.:T
    Bye for now xx
