Mushrooms don't like being stored in plastic bags. If you don't have a brown paper bag to transfer them into, wrapping them in newspaper will work equally well.0

Hi there, I do the same as Chameleon, remove any plastic wrapping and store in fridge. I never thought about freezing them - will definitely try that.0

Got migraine - forgive crazy typing - here with sunglasses on to see.
I got a Sainsburys delivery tues. Should be spag bol tonight according to meal plan. Mushrooms have just hung on til today (said on delivery less lead time and value mushrooms)
Any ideas?
Desperate to stick to meal plans as first attempt at grocery challenge, switching f&c night to tonight so can cook spag bol tomorrow.
So far this month so not so good and it's only 2nd and hv tomorrow. Sigh.Always another chapter0 -
cook them now and add them cooked to the spag bol at the end of cooking.0

Yes, they freeze really well, just put them in a bag and freeze. They'll separate ok when you need them.
