Might be worth diverting the overpayments.
I was thinking about that, but as our OP is only £160 pcm the monetary difference is very small (~£10).
The positive fuzzy feeling form actually overpaying the mortgage although not quantifiable, is worth for us much more:D
But I did calculate it, just to be sure I'm not paying too much just for feeling nice:pDebt: [STRIKE]-£77.299 74,209[/STRIKE]-£72,860 Projected MF date(age):[STRIKE]2044(63)[/STRIKE] 2029(48)

I just receive letter from my duel fuel provider that I'm getting 50% cashback for my unused boiler care - £90:j
Even more motivation now to make the second trip to the branch and open this 5% saver! I thought I will open it up with a minimum req £100 - but it looks like I'm going to have nearly £300.:j
I checked all my handbags and sure enough in nearly every evening bag I had tucked emergency £20 note for taxi - up to the total of £160. That's better than raiding the coin jar!
I wonder how many more emergency notes is lying around my house I forgot about!:eek:Debt: [STRIKE]-£77.299 74,209[/STRIKE]-£72,860 Projected MF date(age):[STRIKE]2044(63)[/STRIKE] 2029(48)

First 3 years with Npower boiler care if I do not call them out, they give 50% cashback at the end of the year.
My boiler is VERY old so I need this anyway, if only for peace of mind, but it's always nice to get some cashback:j
I have to start looking at signing up at topcashback or quidco everybody is talking about in here.
I thought there is no point as don't spend much money online, but it looks like I could have have some extra rewards for every day things as well.
Do you get points for referrals or something? If so, I can sign up under as somebody's referral.Debt: [STRIKE]-£77.299 74,209[/STRIKE]-£72,860 Projected MF date(age):[STRIKE]2044(63)[/STRIKE] 2029(48)

That's really good, think I might switch. Our boiler is ancient but works so it might benefit us!
I could refer you to TCB unless you want to go through anyone else? It's really east to make money on there and there are a few free trials at the moment which are good. I'll PM you a link.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Hi,
I signed up through your link - is any pointers you could give me?
Where should I start and so on?
As for boiler care, I think you have to be npower customer to get 50% cashback, but when I looked around they actually gave me the best price on dual fuel anyway (with £100 discount for DD payment) and in the end I switched only the tariff but still that made me qualify for I think £50 in vouchers! :jDebt: [STRIKE]-£77.299 74,209[/STRIKE]-£72,860 Projected MF date(age):[STRIKE]2044(63)[/STRIKE] 2029(48)

Thanks for that, might check out their boiler cover anyway as my current provider don't reward me at all!
Thanks for using my link. You could refer your OH and get a bonus from him, check for daily surveys (under free cashback heading) as the newvista one is worth 70p a day. There are also few free trials at the moment. Neflix is well worth signing up for the free month and £12 cashback. Lovefilm could also be used once you cancel netflix.
It's at insurance renewal times the site can really be of benefit. Our car insurance was worth £67 cashback. Anytime you want to purchase online just go through the search bar in TCB first and then it takes you to the website. It's even worth going through it for ebay. Hope that helpsJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

I tried newvista, didn't qualify

Thanks for all the info - I can see I probably lost a lot as we just bought our car insurance. But Our home insurance is due around April, so I'll make sure to take advantage of TCB!
I will use TCB when buying but tbh I don't think I got the patience to check for surveys as it was 3 times now I didn't qualify.:(Debt: [STRIKE]-£77.299 74,209[/STRIKE]-£72,860 Projected MF date(age):[STRIKE]2044(63)[/STRIKE] 2029(48)
