MONEY SAVING EXPERT - I repeat, that is the main aim of these threads, not a forum for the rights & wrongs of how individuals choose to spend or save their money. Why waste time in a pointless argument over whether NT receives money from NTS or not. The fact is, it is cheaper to join NTS if you are retired! Can we call it a draw and stop now !!

My original comment wasn't in reply to a post of yours so I see no point in continuing this.

I agree. I asked if you could evidence your original statement and it appears that you cannot. Therefore there seems to be no point in continuing the discussion.

    Hi all,

I am considering whether to go for English Heritage or National Trust. Read through the posts here and someone mentioned that National Trust was better and went to more of their sites.

Can anyone list the most desirable places to visit (especially in the Midlands) or both and which one is better? Does one give free access to both. If you are going to pay for only one, which one has the most expensive costs on the door - would that affect decisions as to which to go for?

    Thanx
