  • Just back from T's and well, mixed results.

Found the batteries labeled up at BOGOF so I threw two packs of AA and two packs of AAA in to the trolly to go with the 4 coupons I had with me. In the end because my coupons were in my pocket instead of my wallet where they usually are I forgot to use them (inc my price check vouchers and a £3 of £20 that arrived this morning.) I thought I would use the Duracell coupons to my advantage as CS and say I that I forgot to use them and that whilst standing in the queue I'd noticed that the BOGOF didn't come off. CS asks if I got the batteries of the normal battery stand to which I said no, the toy aisle and went with her to show her one of the stands that indicated BOGOF. I pointed to the actual SEL in another. She took the SEL out and we went back to CS. It turned out that the SEL expired sometime in October 2011 and as she was "new to the team" or according to her badge anyway she said that she had to call a manager. Whilst waiting for the manager I noticed that the SEL that was removed said £4.47 and I was charged £4.99 so that was another overcharge. The manager arrived and the CS explained to her what had happened. The manager said..

"our policy has changed, disregard the SEL, he gets nothing for that but refund him DTD for the failed BOGOF"

She then hands me my 4 Duracell coupons back and says she can't do anything about it. I pointed out to her that if I'd remembered to use them in the first place then I'd have still had the 4 quid off. To which she replied "we'd have deducted the the value of your coupons from your DTD". I then pointed out that coupons are treated like cash and if you would have done that you'd have had my coupons and 4 quid back from whoever refunds you." She then turned trouty and snarled "it doesn't matter, that's all there is too it."

On the up side, I got my quiche and chips. Just going to put them in the oven now.:beer:
