For anyone interested - Update to recent events.

Called HO after not hearing from them for two days. Was put through to a manager who told me he'd spoken to my local store & was told by the Manager, Deputy Manager and Security that they had no idea about my situation, and no CCTV had been viewed as far as they were aware.

He also told me he had no record of me calling HO and being accused!

Told him the Advisor who informed me of this was called **** and that I called on Tuesday. She could confirm to him the accusation made by the store. :rotfl::rotfl:

Called me back 30 minutes later and told me he couldn't find who this '****' was.

'No worries', I told him 'I remember her extension number'. Manager thanked me and attempted to contact ****. :rotfl::rotfl:

30 minutes he later he calls me again. The extension number I had given him was for a desk and not an individual. The Staff there 'share' desks, and recently the personnel have been moved around and no-one knows who this **** is

'Well you record your calls don't you?', I asked. 'The call was made at 17:58 from ***********, put through to extension number ****, you could trace the call, listen to it yourself and hear the accusation'. :rotfl::rotfl:

*Manager huffs and puffs a little* Tells me he will contact me later. An hour later and finally they've tracked down who this **** is. However, she's just happened to have gone on holiday for a week, so cannot confirm what was said! Ha, then told me his Team Leader (Managers have Team Leaders now?) will listen to **** call with my local store in the morning, and inform me of any progress.

:rotfl::rotfl: Stood shaking my head throughout..

One of my tips was "If you travel through airports a lot then a length of bailer twine makes a handy belt as it doesn't set the metal detectors off. Not only that you won't end up with your trousers round your ankles whilst your belt is going though the scanner."

Never seen any balls(that's a lie)up here, Lindt ones that is. Plenty of the bloomin eggs at £2 a go.

A gazillion Lindt Bears have suddenly reappeared on the shelves in one of my T's. They are in a 'Special Offer' (of sorts) area but still scan at 50p. I have purchased one and stuck the barcode in my wallet so now every time I go to T's and scan it and see if they are at a penny yet before I go trailing over to the Extra.

    What a excellent tip :T

    Still catching up here :o

Why am I not surprised at this?! Fyi, you might have seen my recent posts about being in a similar situation - I have emailed Philip Clarke and 5 working days later am still waiting on a response....icon13.gif. Following your updates with great interest and share your anger.
