    Oops, morning!

Well OH made it home early last night so thought we would pop to local for a drink. We have only been once before as we dont do alcohol but thought it would be nice to spend an hour together and have a snack/meal.

first pub stopped doing food at 8 as it was too quiet so drank up and decided to try a pub outside of the village.

    Mistake 1

The dreaded moment when you realsie you are the only people there apart from the lonely fellow in the corner whos worse for wear. before we had even asked for our drink he asked me if i knew where he could get some cocaine cause he was fed up of weed!! Me being me answered politly then ordered drinks.

    Mistake 2.

Could hardly breath for the smell of dogs and didnt know where to look when the landlord let out an almighty burp whilst pouring my drink! the coke resembled neat mix from soda stream but i didnt have the heart to tell the landlord so forced it down.

Man at bar plonked himself down at our table and tried to make polite conversation. OH buried his head in leaflets and was sniggering behind me and revelling in my discomfort. Man wanted lift, landlord was stood behind him shaking his head at me to say no. so i told him sorry we were going other way. Felt awful as he told me not to worry no one wants him in their car. Spent 10 mins trying to be polite whilst forcing syrup down my throat and listening to my OH being told how lucky he was!

Then there was the awkward moment where no one has anythign to say but just keep starring and smiling and all you can do is smile back.

Man next to me, who by the way insisted on being called Frog, put his hand on his stomache and let out a burp, he then pulled a strange face, moved hand to his rear and pulled a funnier face. Stood up and excused himself. Walked off towards toilet to leave me and OH starring at his obviously soiled shell suit bottoms.

Sharp exit whilst wrenching. Now i know why i dont drink or go out very often.

LMAO at this - reminded me of when I was away with a b/f once in a little village in the Midlands. Went in for a drink only to find people sitting at tables not speaking, laughing or making any sign that they were in any way enjoying themselves. When I sat down I knocked the table and drinks went everywhere. I burst out laughing and every body turned to look giving me the evil eye. Couldn't wait to get out of the wretched place.

Thanks. Will try to post some when I get them back onto my laptop.

Some of the best (for me) were in Brazil, Cuba, Italy, Poland, Hong Kong, Canaries and Australia. We must be in the minority that visited Ayers Rock and come sunset, we had a b****y big cloud over it! Some brilliant views along the Great Ocean Road (OH lost all his pics the first time, so went back again), was advised where to stop off by someone on a forum here to see the koalas in their natuaral habitat (not captive), ditto kangaroos, Twelve Apostles and after sunset, 100's of penquins come up onto the beach, Adelaide looking down from the hills, Cervantes (Pinnacles) was amazing as was seeing dolphins up close in shallow water. Seeing emu's walking down the road. Wasn't that impressed with the top end of the GBR but Lady Elliot Island was absolutely amazing. Sydney and Perth were brilliant too. Sorry, I could ramble on for ages!:o

I must be missing something regarding Australia, just never seem inspired to visit it. Perhaps your photos might change my mind. I never seem to get good weather, never mind good light! In Brazil I did watch the most fantastic lightening storm I have ever seen.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
