I've just tried this, and if that is the case then I've proven that not only is the thermostat in my oven well and truly knackered but also the oven thermometer that I purchased from Lakeland is also a load of rubbish!
when we first got married our new oven had a faulty thermostat and wouldnt heat up above pilot light we tried putting a bowl of water in to see how warm we could get it after nothing was cooking. i used the example that it didnt get hot enough to even heat up water when we returned to the shop to complain.
guy in comet looked at me like i was totally thick and said 'Missy you dont boil water in your oven you use a kettle'
'Missy' went straight to his manager got him a flea in his ear and herself a new working properly cooker:rotfl:
thanks for the cleaning tip tigerwhite ill remember that oneSPC~12 ot 124

Yes I need wine and I am ready with a JTD voucher to help with the initial spend
Me too... I thought Id found it today... Tesco finest Garnacha and Tempranillo had an OOD SEL of £4.99 (I think it was) and it went through at £7.49.... I bought 6.... and 6 of the Tesco Finest Chianti which were 2 for £12 offers... Looked good not just buying 6 of the miss priced...
Took them to CS, the were on another shelf at 2 4 £12..
CS gave me £1 back!!!!! I didnt get into an argument with her, I rather keep under the radar until I find something worth fighting for...!!!!!!!!!!littleladybug wrote: »Worked for me on choc brownie indulgence versionWestvleteren wrote: »Didn't work for me or HC either at E!!on
Now then you lot... The Options... Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Im confused, 2 discounts were taken on my receipt. BUT not for the whole 20 that I bought (I bought 20 because they are 5 for a £1 in Asda)
This is what I bought
8 x Belgian chocolate
7 x dreamy caramel
4 x turkish delight and
1 x coconut
receipt states
Options 4 for £1 = -£1.40
Options 4 for a £1 = -£1.12
So try working that one out...
BTW it was in an extra...
on another note....
did 3 shops
1st shop.. used 14 coupons and got my shopping down from £48.53 to £12.70.. I should get a something like £18 JTD..
2nd shop..used 14 coupons and got my shopping down from £44.57 to £23.13.. I should get something like £19 JTD..
3rd shop was a huge (cupboard filling shop, before we start eating each other here!!!!) which I should get £20 JTD..
Sooooooooooooo Im ready for this wine glitch... bring it on Tesco!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I forgot to mention... I got 10 of the NNE's from Boots.. The Cashier was wonderful, they wouldnt scan together so she put them in separately... She said, "we dont want you losing out on free conditioners... she went on saying that she too prints coupons off to use in Tesco, as well as Boots... :A:A0 -

Seriously though. I'm fortunate to be working for a great employer and, at the moment, working (outsourced) for a really good client. Only downside is I have to start early, finish late, and I don't seem to have much time for breaks during the day. That's my choice, though; I just like making it sound like the boss is a slave-driver.oh how times have changed since I last worked under the dim gas lights doing the paperwork for HM Govt .. ...we used to go for a pint and a pastie in our lunch break .Just post any old flannel!:DOB hows the not smoking going?
Kind of you to ask.
I'm doing okay, cravings have pretty much gone completely. Really noticing that my sense of smell is coming back big-time. :T Only downside is the carp I cough up as my lungs attempt to clear out some of the rubbish attached to them.
OB
btw. Ashamed to admit I got a Jennifer Anniston/Brad Pitt question correct on the quiz today. Sorry, folks.Last ciggie - 28/01/2012

Well done OB that's brilliant:T:T:T:TDon't worry, the coughing up "coffee grains" will stop;) You're over the first month now so it'll only get better now:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0

Hi West is Best,
I can't wait to go after work tonight but I have no shopping lists planned.
Any advice please? I fancy a go with the JTD..... What are the best combo's?"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
Just got 5 more Comforts from an Express:cool: Just wish I'd stocked up when they were working out as 5p each!
Need to plan a really good T's shop with these coupons! Hate using them bit by bit, wish I had the nerve to use loads in one go like some of you!:o
But for tomorrow/maybe tonight, I'm planning:
1x Lenor fabric cond-£1.99-use £1 SSM coupon making it 99p
See if it works in Price check, if so will use the rest on more Lenors:D
2x Always-£2.00 each-£4-use 2x SSM coupons-£2-Asda, they are 2 for £3, will I get a JTD for multibuy's?
3x Oral B 123 toothpaste-£1.29 each-use 3 SSM coupons -Asda-£1 so should get JTD back making them FREE!
More Comfort-Cheap as chips
2 x Flash or fairy-FREE
Normal shopping
Skim reading but noticed lots of DTD issues.
Regarding DTD, I've had my clubcard number taken down and reciept number e.t.c I thought this was the norm?:think:life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -
tigerwhite wrote: »You've reminded me of a tip I heard when you want to clean your oven with no fuss. After you've cooked something and finished using it, turn the oven off but place a casserole dish inside that is filled with boiling hot water. Leave the casserole dish in there for a few hours (with the oven temperature off and the door closed) When you go back to it, you can literally wipe it down with a cloth as the water has steam cleaned the oven.
can't believe I'm giving cleaning tips but we do all have lots of cleaning goodies :T0 -
mymerrywidow wrote: »why are you paying £1.99? in out store there is huge bottlres of lenor for £1.68
If I'm correct, then after the coupon it's only 99p.
Plus you get this back with JTD - making it free!"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
