Hi quizzers and glitchers,
Been reading this T's employee tale during my "lunch hour" (ha-ha) and have to say that while I think it's great that everyone is trying to be helpful, people's 'opinions' are of no use and, as one can see, only result in conflicting advice being given, resulting in confusion.
I'm sorry if this sounds harsh; I know people are trying to help.
There is a legal framework laid down to deal with employee disciplinary matters which T's have to follow.
The only advice given in this thread that is worth anything re. this matter is fourp's comment here:
The other thing that matters is the ACAS Code of Practice, which Tesco has to adhere to. I would advise that the OP read both. hth

I was coming to the self serve with 4 temptations boxes and had them taken off me before I even got there as ' there is a computer error' Not unusual as it's happened to others but this is the same SA that let me through yesterday with 3 boxes and was so nice, saying 'if they scan at 1p you can have them at 1p'. I even went and got her 2 when she asked where I got them from and told her where the others were so she could get more in her lunch break!
The veg crisps are scanning at 49p now.
This happened to me while back with a 1p thing, the previous day the SA had done it for me and next day wouldnt. But she did admit that she'd actually got told off the day before for doing it:(That's why now I try and pick different SA's because I'd hate to get one particular one in trouble with 1p stuff. But I still have my coupon favourite SA's;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Hi guys
Still catching up from a couple of days ago, not sure how things stand with people's poorly relatives or any other situations so I'm afraid I will have to just post a general big...
(((((HUG)))))
to everyone going through a rough patch.
I was out all day yesterday as it was the 10th anniversary of my mum's passing, I went to the grave an hour away and was unsurprised to find that my brother who lives down the road hadn't been tending it at all.
I had some HG headstone cleaner so gave it a good polish and got all the collected moss/algae or whatever the green stains are off the dark grey granite, it looked lovely and gleaming when I'd finished.
I was thinking of getting some ornaments to put there as flowers will wilt and look rubbish too quickly, while wandering around sainsbury's I spent £20 on two ornaments I thought were perfect and looked so beautiful. I can't find them online but one was an artificial plant in a white bowl which had heart shaped leaves if you looked closely and a set of three white ceramic butterflies which stand up so I grouped them in height order.
In fact it looked so lovely I'm a bit annoyed I didn't take a photo so I'm going to go back tomorrow and take one.
Also cleaned my dad's one and my maternal grandparents' one (which has been there since my grandad was buried in 1986, so quite dirty, though at least you can read the writing now), didn't bother with my paternal grandparents since that headstone has been there since the 1940s and no cleaner is going to get that muck off!
Had a few words with mommy dearest as well, had a little cry then had a wander around the graveyard. I don't know if I'm alone in this but I find graveyards so interesting and so tranquil, plus the nosey side of me comes out wanting to know who died at what age and what was written on their headstone! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

an accident eh HC ?
just saw above , poor cow .
poor cow? Classic 60's Ken Loach film. Was X-rated at the time but would seem a bit tame now. Situations are still familiar today however?

This might be of use for people with children who might not mind trying to get DTD. Just back from my local T P.R.L. there are 3 cages filled with toys all with yellow reduced price stickers on the boxes. some of the the stickers are over the original price scan bars I tried a self scanner on one of the toys scanning the original price came up full price compared with half the price on yellow sticker I did not want the hassle of trying it on with custms service but some one else might like this info.

i know just what you mean kadison, i 'visit' the lady i used to work for and tend her grave its a really old church and i find myself having a wander reading dates and names i find it sad when there is a large gap in time between a couple being 'reunited' and wonder how they coped.
my fil is in a more newer area of a different cemetery we often 'visit' him and recently found my DH aunt and uncles grave so gave that a clean and new flowers as we are the nearest rellies to keep it tidy. im not a lover of silk flowers on graves but i did put silk ones there as i was replacing what was there with fresher ones and just incase other rellies viisit i didnt want to cause upset.
hugs back for you Kadison it must have been a difficult 'anniversary' to cope withSPC~12 ot 124

Afternoon all, I've resorted to lurking due to suffering with flu, which is much worse for us ladies (I am female no matter what some of you think
)
I've not done my usual clicking thanks for every post for probably about 30 or 40 pagesso have a general thanks and well wishes to all from me:D
I've dipped in and out and am trying to keep up with everyones news. I managed some of the ssm before diving for the duvet so all is not too bad :T
Hopefully normal service should return soon
Hope you feel better soon mharzuk. Can sympathise with you totally as I have been suffering too, tried reading some posts on monday through streaming eyes and had to give up and head back under the duvet.
Think everyone is going to have to take a rain check from me for thanks as I still have not managed to read any of the weekends posts. I think have read most of fridays and mondays going back and forth but think will have to give rest a miss. Feeling a lot better today thank goodness. :j
Nothing to report I'm afraid none of the cheap Finest party stuff at FB that Redfox reported as scanning 37p ish on mega reductions thread. Anyone else had any luck with those. Not sure if I was looking for right stuff. There was an Oriental Selection that scanned at £5. Even had a asterisk on SEL so hoped might have gone through cheaper.0 -

That's exactly what my mum, dad, sis and everyone in school said. Whilst it was great to miss school work was sent home for me, but I still had quite a lot of catching up to do once I got back. On the plus side though, I did get a lift pass so I could use the lift that was for staff members only.:D0 -
Just got 5 more Comforts from an Express:cool: Just wish I'd stocked up when they were working out as 5p each!
Need to plan a really good T's shop with these coupons! Hate using them bit by bit, wish I had the nerve to use loads in one go like some of you!:o
But for tomorrow/maybe tonight, I'm planning:
1x Lenor fabric cond-£1.99-use £1 SSM coupon making it 99p
See if it works in Price check, if so will use the rest on more Lenors:D
2x Always-£2.00 each-£4-use 2x SSM coupons-£2-Asda, they are 2 for £3, will I get a JTD for multibuy's?
3x Oral B 123 toothpaste-£1.29 each-use 3 SSM coupons -Asda-£1 so should get JTD back making them FREE!
More Comfort-Cheap as chips
2 x Flash or fairy-FREE
Normal shopping
Skim reading but noticed lots of DTD issues.
Regarding DTD, I've had my clubcard number taken down and reciept number e.t.c I thought this was the norm?:think:0
