Should have guessed - knew I wouldn't be first up! You must have started cycling at ridiculous o'clock .... How many mins for the 60k today - under 90?

Just crept under 90 mins, but didn't hit a good rhythm at the start, so their could possibly be another 3mins off this:

ETA: Anyone interested in like a tag team triathlon? I know we have runners and swimmers. Each team would have a runner, swimmer and a cyclist, each person would do a set distance then add the times together. 2 teams would be great a bit of friendly competition/ motivation. Once a month we could post our times. Bit of fun?
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Totally totally impressive. I would like to put my money on you for the diet challenge with HC, Nikkilala and, I think, Purdita? Any news on how everyone else is doing? - all been a bit quiet on that front ....

Would like to say Good Morning to you all, the sun is out and looks absolutely lovely down here in sunny north Devon - but just stepped out onto the balcony and its bloomin freezing out there, so looks like i will be staying behind the glass today.

Westvleteran - you are absolutely amazing, i could do with a friend like you - you have so much get up and go :j:j i have tried dieting with the help of a friend and always get dragged back down - shouldn't blame her really and just do it on my own, but when ever she has a bad day i always end up being bad with her - i have tried the "get away from me Satan" route but she just laughs and sticks cake or cold toast with loads of butter and marmite on it in front of me, im sure she has it somewhere in her head that if she is not going to be slim she is not going to let me get slim either!!!

Had a brilliant day and have loads of vouchers thanks to "West is Best" and SSM yesterday, so will be sorting out my shopping list later today. IM sure i read somewhere about boxes of "Temptations" biscuits - can anyone enlighten me please as i saw a couple of boxes yesterday in a shop with out a scanner in.

Hope you all have a great day xxx

I think nothing of picking up a penny in the street.

When I was at school the other kids would throw away their loose change, mainly 2p, 5p and 1p coins but sometimes there were 10's and 20's. Quite often I would go home with more money than the amount of lunch money I left with in the morning.:beer:

They do that around here HC and guess who picks it all up and doesn't care who's watching. Pennies make pounds is that the saying :D

Numbers bore me but I seemed to have a flare for them along with complex spreadsheets+ predictive trend analysis. In the last few years before I retired I was famous for my data analysis. In mty retirement presentation my boss produced a 2x A0 printed spreadsheet that he claimed (falsely I might add) I had produced to explain a very simple question! Such was my reputation with numbers:rotfl::rotfl:

Sad I know but even in retirement I produce an annual summary of where our money has gone and what we are worth:rotfl::rotfl:

    Strange isn't it?

I quite like numbers and maths ... at school I had big problems creative writing/essays. I could never think of anything to write and by the time I did have an idea it'd be time to hand papers in. And it's all so subjective as to whether what you write is any good.

Whereas with numbers and maths I knew straight away if I was 'right' or 'wrong'.

So I when I left school I studied Economics and started studying accountancy but dumped it all quite soon.

Now "for living" I create and write "stuff" ... :rotfl:

... but I still have a spreadsheet for all my finances and do bank reconciliations at least once a week

I have some really really bad days as well :D But I just carry on knowing that it is not going to be as good as it should be and that just motivates me more. Anyway, everything in moderation, some days I struggle with the moderation part :o:D

It was me.....I've kept very quiet on that front as I started off really well.......and then it all went horribly wrong :o

I've been a rubbish diet partner to Westie but she's doing brilliantly without me :T:T
I need a good kick up the backside to get me motivated!
Don't know how the "opposition" are doing....but it's very quiet there too ;)
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
