Dopey_Sleepy_Grumpy wrote: »This is interesting, both me and OH studied Business and Finance and my senior lecturer advised me to go into accountancy. However, I have no interest in numbers, they bore me. I make my OH accountable for all the financial aspects but regularly review them with him. OH is bad at sticking to a budget but good at the bigger and longer term financial picture. As a result I do the weekly budget/shop and he decides where to put the long term investments. It seems to work well for us but always interesting to hear how others work it.
Numbers bore me but I seemed to have a flare for them along with complex spreadsheets+ predictive trend analysis. In the last few years before I retired I was famous for my data analysis. In mty retirement presentation my boss produced a 2x A0 printed spreadsheet that he claimed (falsely I might add) I had produced to explain a very simple question! Such was my reputation with numbers:rotfl::rotfl:
Sad I know but even in retirement I produce an annual summary of where our money has gone and what we are worth:rotfl::rotfl:Awaiting a new sig0 -
Well I haven't managed to post for hours now but I have managed a few more coupons, I'm up to 29/41 now
AND I've actually managed to stay up to date with today's goings on here!:o
Ran down the road but was too late at A's for anything major for whoopsies, just got an angel cake for 10p mmmm mmmm!! :j Probably a good idea that whoopsies were thin on the ground though, my grandparents fridge/freezer broke down yesterday so we've been inundated with food and the freezers stuffed! But tomorrow's a new day and I might be able to shoe horn something in there for Sunday whoopsies:D
I always pick up pennies too...I'm a bit supersticious, not with everything, just some things and I also think of the good luckAs i do when I see 2 magpies on the way to T's!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Found a lonesome Jewel air freshener on clipstrip- thanks to whoever left it there. I've only ever seen one at a time in this store (M.h!ll), so it seems I'm always too late, but it's nice to find at least a token gesture left behind
No bbq stuff, prawns correct price, no onions. Hit it lucky with the flower reductions for the first time and got a bunch of Valentine's tulips 10p from £14 . Lovely old dear on the bus commented on them, so I gave her half. It felt good to share a bargain and it's nice knowing her house'll be brightened up for a few daysMember of the HCSC0 -
