See you all later cos I'm now off shopping with DS1, he's here for the day so will see you all later.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

  • First coffee break of the day and it's nearly 11 a.m. so doing better today!! Have dropped DD (15yrs) at hairdressers for her first ever higlights. It's a reward for having revised hard for the first tranche of GCSEs recently - she finds exams VERY hard. Got to collect her in 2 hours. Hope she likes it! (I've never given her a treat for school work before as I expect the kids to do their best, but this time she really deserved it).

I had my scaffolders in the summer and they got hot and had to take their tops off;):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That reminds me when the neighbours had their extension done, one of the lads looked like Aston from JLS (according to DD aged 14 at the time.) When the top came off (his not hers!!) she kept hanging out of the window and taking photos of the poor chap! Had to hide the camera in the end!:rotfl::rotfl:

I got one yesterday so will report back as soon as pricecheck results come through. I also got the potatoes with garlic and bacon as they compared last week giving an extra 50p off :T.

Thank you. Will perhaps wait for your results if that's Ok.

Don't suppose any of the mains or desserts compare? Wishful thinking but would be brilliant if they did ....

Someone posted a link to freecycle and freegle a few pages back (can't find it now:mad:)

I seem to remember freegle was a UK breakaway group from the original freecycle?

Is there a big rivalry between them? Im in our local freecycle, but just found out from the OPs link that theres a freegle in my area too! Not sure if I would be able to be a member of both?!
  • I am a member of them both. they d have rivalry and its basicly the same stuff thats posted on both sites but i tend to offer on both

    morning all

been entertaining in laws yesterday spent most of the day doing normal stuff -cooking and cleaning:(:(:(:(:(in my husbands bachelor pad-place hasn't been cleaned since last time we came over- the toilets.... minging:eek::eek::eek::eek::mad::mad::mad:

and had to do an emergency shop in a local corner shop as zero "normal" shopping. absolutely killed me to pay the astronomical prices but was an emergency................ £2.59 for 1litre of sunflower oil:eek::eek:
especially as I had just toured 4 T's in the area the day before!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I really must knuckle down to the dreaded assignment/audit/paperwork, needs to be handed in on Monday, sister come to stay last night and 7 kids downstairs play wrestling is NOT helping......................plus I keep getting distracted by you lot again!!!

Oh funny moment in T's on the Wednesday, tried the 3 for £2 bags of sweets that someone had mentioned with the OOD SEL from December, anyway offer kicked in so I said to the SA-"i've fogotten my purse" to which DS2 screamed "No mummy! It's there in your bag I can see it!":eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hi, it was me who posted the links yesterday. I'm a member of both but only offer on one at a time. You'll probably find that one or the other is better for your particular area.
