Would you change a sky blue bathroom suite ???

This - www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-36614267.html - is a bit over the top for me. I would be happy with the suite if the rest of the decor balanced the colours.
We have this exact suite in the house we just bought!
We've been here 3 weeks and already the toilet has broken:o we have replaced it with a modern white one and now we have to do the whole room. (thank god).
One of my major concerns was water usage. The cistern holds nearly twice as much water as a modern dual flush loo, we are on a meter and I can imagine it would cost a fortune0 -
its not about getting the extra money back in the selling price. its about not making 90% of your potential buyers turn around and walk away.
(a white suite can be had for 199 quid). big deal.
do rolls royce and mercedes etc make a pink car?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -

I don't believe that many people would be put off by the colour of a bathroom suite unless it was truly hideous, people might be frivolous but I don't think everyone is that frivolous. I'd certainly prefer a quality coloured bathroom than a cheap and nasty white one.Solar install June 2022, Bath

only one problem with having a coloured suite you decor becomes somewhat limited as one example lemon and blue doesn't work and everyone has different tastes. i grew up in a house with a light brown bathroom suite it faded over time as well, well the bath did the rest didn't in the end looked quite odd.
where as a white suite is more neutral allowing alot more decorating options and myself are in the process of having the bathroom moved round so can fit a corner spa bath fitted but yes i have gone for white as helps with the decorating choices and my wife is very fussy we spent hours and hours sorting out the tiles but got there in the end thank god. also the point of someone buying the house will turn around and walk away due to future cost of getting it the way they want it.
In my case they wasted the space above the stairs and by doing this i am adding value to the house, but the cost of changing the way the room sits starts adding up labour is going to be around £1200 without material costs.
The suite, shower, shower screen, bathroom cabinet, wall and floor tiles, lights, radiator, grab bars and new everything else costing £2326.43
so reckon i be paying around 4 to 4.5 k mark time its done.
question i would ask who has money to spend once they just bought there house i didn't! its take some years to get here.0 -
A very big thankyou to everybody that has responded to our original post here. The information (and hilarious video) have been most useful. We are still discussing the final outcome but it is looking likely that we will now change to white. Thanks again0

Looks like it's too late now, but you could have decorated the bathroom seasidey style.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I'd go for a beach theme bathroom with sand colours and an exotic palm to make it retro 70s chic0
