Well, 18 days after my last post, I can report that the return bag did eventually arrive, the equipment has been returned and I have my fingers crossed that I was reading too much into the earlier series of mistakes and very odd fabrications by support staff.0

Well, 18 days after my last post, I can report that the return bag did eventually arrive, the equipment has been returned and I have my fingers crossed that I was reading too much into the earlier series of mistakes and very odd fabrications by support staff.
It's not a scam,it's been run by all the cable companies,VM/NTL/Telewest ect,since cable started up in the UK.Reason they charge is as you don't own the equipment they supply you,all they are doing is recovering the cost of the box at retail price.0 -
You DID get a receipt (and plan to keep it safe until they confirm receipt of the equipment)? You responsibility does not end with putting it in the hands of the carrier, only when they confirm receipt.0
