Humax box isn't recognising recording schedules

Having problems with our Humax box.
We are setting the box to record programmes, but the box is failing to record what has been set. However, it is still recording, when you do it manually !
Have tried a software update, but it states there is no new software found.
Does anyone know what could be wrong ?

    What model is it?
    Is it Freeview or Freesat?
    How old is it?
Have you tried a factory reset?

    And which software version?
    Signal strength and quality?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • It's a 9300t, Freeview.
Probably about 3-4 years old, and will try a factory reset.

Not quite sure what you mean by "Is it picking up the right time" ?
Hard drive has about 14 programmes recorded...so nowhere near full.

We were having various problems with a Humax box that were solved by removing the plug from the mains socket overnight.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • can you afford to buy a newer model. we bought the Humax Foxsat-HDR a couple of years ago and have never had a problem with it.

Yes we can afford a new one, but would rather see if we can get this one working properly again. I don't like to add to this throwaway society, if I can help it.

I think you are being asked to check that the correct time is displayed on the front of the box.

Software version would be helpfull. Press Menu, status to check.

What happened when your performed a default reset? Installation - default reset.

Had a similar problem on my box which was caused by corrupt software, over air upgrade cleared my problem.

The software is not being transmitted at the moment. Last time was Friday.

Look here for future over air tansmissions..

  • I'm with Ariba10 - our 8000T loses the program guide every few weeks so only timer record works - solution is to turn off mains power & reboot - don't think there's a permanent solution
