    Hi all,
Misty and damp, still feels chilly though.had a good evening last night when our friends came over and we got a curry. There was loads left so have frozen it.We have one DS out for tea and one possibly in (lasagne) .DH has been out since this morning looking at a job,if he gets back early enough he wants to go and look at a car as our old one was finally collected by the new owners yesterday.

Not a lot of OS going on today really-I'm having a day off!

Nmlc- glad they have got to the bottom of your sisters problem, hope shes home soon.
Bitsy- lots of puppy gorgeousness going on at your house, absolutely lovely.Oh how I remember the early starts and pitiful cries ;) Our current big dog was pre-owned(def not pre loved ,bless him) and about 18 mths when we got him so we didnt have those probs with him.We always say we wish we'd known him as a pup as he is such a love.He tends to come upstairs with us when we go to bed ,but goes back down when DH snoring becomes too much for him:rotfl:I have to admit his predecessor had his bed in our room from being tiny :o

I hope everyone has a good Sunday xx

  • Hello all,

Just popping in with a quick hello and long time no type!

Am at work and have not caught up with the thread for a few days so will get onto that in a mo if we're quiet.

Not much OS going on while at work - but not much at home either - bad, very bad. Will do something about it on my days off as I have still to try baking in my new oven. DH put a stew in the SC last night so we will have that tonight and I have some plums left over so will stew those.

Hope everyone ok and not to frosty, we have been so lucky with the weather and have missed the snow and ice but I really feel for those suffering as I hate it when it's about.

    Hugs to all,

    Jan x

Yep did that last night. First nights are always gonna be hard, will try leaving radio on tonight too.
Good idea; one of my regular guests, Ted, likes to have a nightlight (I've got a little one that just plugs into a socket and gives a warm glow) and the radio softly playing Classic FM at night. Bless him, he's very insecure, but he loves coming to stay here. I hope Luna has a better night tonight.

    A little info on Luna:
Roman Goddess, "The Moon That Rules The Months". Moon Goddess who regulates the seasons and months and is associated with the first day of the waning moon. She had an ancient sanctuary on the Aventine Hill in Rome and was worshipped on the last day of March.
    - transcribed from "Goddesses in World Mythology" by Martha Ann & Dorothy Myers Imel

Luna is also the alchemical name for silver!:o

  • Fantastic effort in the rugby from the Welsh team :D gutted I didn't get tickets now, though I couldn't justify the £66 cost!

Still plodding along with the uni work, it's coming together slowly.

    Grrrrr. Bah humbug. :p

Only saw the last 20mins as we are :j:jskiing:j:j in Italy. Rather than doing a package we've organised independently. I think for the last time unless we are going somewhere we speak the language. But I think the food will be good.

Off to find picks of Luna. Hugs and spoons to all in need. Probably won't be around much this week:D

ETA: OOOOHHHH she's gorgeous. Wish we'd known Oz at that age. He was 6 when he came to us.

    Evening all,

Bitsy Luna is absolutely gorgeous. I am allergic to dog hair so we can't have one but I am very jealous

Not too cold here today and most of the snow has gone thank goodness, roll on spring.

The meal with dsm was lovely last night, she certainly could pass for 70 easily, she is such a lovely lady I think the kindness shows in her face.:A
DH and I are not speaking today, too long a story to go into and no easy solution so will spend a couple of quiet days and then back to normal, least it will be peaceful.
Will get any jobs done first thing tomorrow as DGS is coming to stay for the night and we will take him to nursery on Tuesday while mum and dad go to a gig. Can't wait.

Off to get my pj's on and watch being human. It started with a bang last week. Have a good evening all

    Evening all!
Rotten with the cold, its been one virus after another here for weeks now, and am beginning to wonder if we will ever be cough, sniff and sneeze free! As a result have done little all weekend, although did make a big batch of beef olives in onion gravy in the SC today, some used for dinner and the rest portioned in the freezer for later. Tomorrow have BT coming in the morning to replace the router, have not had a good consistent connection since we got Infinity over a year ago, so we will see if it improves. After that will need to get to the shops and buy something for DD's birthday, she will be 22 on Valentines Day, and so far have a card and some love heart sweeties for her! OH is currently in bed sulking, as she went out last night with the mates to celebrate and still isn't home, think she's at the ex-bf's, and he has had a rant about her letting herself be used.............fathers and their girls, for all he knows she's at a girlfriends, all she texted was that she wouldnt be home last night, then she was eating out tonight.
Missed the start of Call The Midwife, so will watch it on i-player later, and I totally forgot about Being Human, so will catch up on that too!
    Big hugs where needed/wanted!
    RIP Iain
