    Morning all,

Got up late this morning, we went to a pub quiz last night, got there late and missed the first round of questions, but still managed to come 5th out of 11 so not too bad, had a great night, but boy was it cold coming home.

Need to have a tidy through this morning, I have OH's filthy work clothes un the wm, which I will get on the line, and I have another load to go in after.

Dinner tonight is Pizza and salad with coleslaw, so nice and easy, will go and see my dad at lunch time and then spend the afternoon listing on ebay, I have 3 parcels to send off tomorrow.

Bitsy Little dog cried and howled so pitifully the first night we had her, that I bought her bed upstairs, she setteled right down then, and we all slept much better, as soon as she was able to she jumped on dd's bed, and she has slept with her ever since, luna will settle eventually, but it depends if you are hard enough to ignore the crying, I wassn't :D

OK have good days all xx

Morning chums brrr its a chilly one here this morning and a light dusting of snow as well. I'm just about to phone my lovely big brother in France as its his birthday today.I am hoping to be able to get down to see him this year even if only for a couple of days he has leukemia and is having long term treatment for it,plus of course he had a heart attack last year and they had to put a stent in.But he is a tough little guy and very cheerful bless him.
I ordered my new bedroom carpet yesterday and the chap said it should be her this week so I am really pleased with that then my bedroom is done apart from some new curtains which I shall have a good look around for.
Dinner at DDs tonight hopefully as long as the snow doesn't get any heavier Its stopped at the moment but I am not too good in ice and snow I shall wait and see.I only have the boys tomorrow for the day as DD has two days off this week and her OH has wed-thurs-friday off .Tomorrow my niece is having them for an hour in the morning so I can go to my book club(she only lives around the corner from there . My eldest Dd and her OH are off to Torquay tomorrow morning for a couple of days weather permitting of course.
Right I'm off to peel my spuds for the week (I put them in a tuppaware box and change the water daily) I have done this for the past 45 years on a Sunday morning as it means I get all the spud peeling done in one go and out of the way whilst I listen to The Archers on the wireless (yes I'm that old :):))
Hope everyone has a good day and keeps safe and warm
    take care all

nmlc - glad you sister is better

Popped to Tesco, got a bargain YS winter vegetable pack for 35p. It has 8 carrots, 2 parsnips and a small swede in it. I'm hoping to have time to make a veggie roast tonight so it will be used then. Although I don't like parsnips, so any suggestions on what to do with those? I hate the taste of them!

Curtains put up in my lounge, looks more homely now and will hopefully keep the heat in a bit.

  • Well that's answered my question, the shed fire must have been arson as the police have just been round, they are going door to door, I couldn't be any help as it was the fire engine that woke me up & hubby slept through the whole thing.

Bitsy - will be looking through posts for pics of luna later - sure she's a sweetie. This morning have been to Mr T and treated OH to a pack of sudafed and some multivits as he spent last night on the sofa coughing for all he's worth!! Got some red cabbage and apple which is currently cooking away ready to have (in about 10 mins) with the roast pork! yummy. Have cleaned bathroom and resolved to do Slimming World - so have bought magazine to read after lunch. Have menu and activity planned for this half term week and will be trying to walk the dogs at least around the block this next week - mustn't run before I can walk.

Much warmer here - all the ice has melted and the snow is disappearing as I type! Might be able to get bulbs in the ground now - bought daff bulbs - hope they survived the weather! Please can I have the doughballs recipe too?? Would go down a treat in our house - specially if I plan a special meal for hubby and I!! Hubby back to work for the week soon - so no valentines here - might give myself a break from housework on the day though!! xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
