Wordpress is really simple to use but is not really for ecommerce.
You can try Opencart which is free.
For hosting you could start with https://www.hostsphere.co.uk and their starter package which is £1.99 per month. Easy to upgrade it if you need to.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
what about create.co.uk has anyone had any experience with this ?0

Magento, Virtuemart, Opencart are all popular open source solutions. Shopify seems to get good reviews and there are other hosted solutions that appear to becoming a good alternative to the marketplaces like Amazon, eBay etc.0

I was interested in a website with "Create".
Just as a matter of interest, what happens now to all the websites that are hosted by them?0 -

Alot depends on whether Create were just a reseller or if they owned their own servers. If the former then the all sites will automatically go to they server providers, if the latter then lets hope everyone has a comple backup of their site!Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -

Or Actinic, again they have different packages0
