  • hiya :)

I had most of my statements but I sent for all my statements to make sure I had them all.

I did follow Martins advice as posted by Edinburghlass. You need to send a schedule of charges with your initial letter, with dates so they can verify your claim.

I also didn't add interest, I would have followed with this if gone to court, afterall, I'm happy just to get my money back :)

Follow the steps in Martins article, as above, they are tried, tested and work :)

  • what does the application form you signed say?

I have had £200 pounds back so far and i am on letter 3.
  • You will never guess but i actually spoke to a mangar from the above bank and i asked why no bank has gone to court. He advised because the banks cannot justify these chages. Quoted me this act, that really means the bank cannot be seen making profits from these charges.

The banks are scared and it has given me the courage to go all the way to court. He also said when asking for statements for last 6 years, do not ask for your statemnets but ask for all the charges then that way they will not charge any fee for this.

Dont be scared, after all this is from the horses mouth.
  • We have been trying to claim back the charges from Norwich and peterborough, original claim was for £3625, 3 weeks ago they sent an offer of 50% of this total, we declined, sent the third letter threatening with court and today was offered £3000 which we accepted.

Hope that helps someone, doesnt seem to be many people claiming from N & P so it is nice to hear from people who have won.

I should this morning gained a letter with reply to Letter 3 from Norwich and Peterborough after giving the Bankinjg and Investment manager 10 day grace, which she has asked for to investigate my claim.

Well nothing has arrived no shock, still cant understand why it takes so long. This B/S has already paid £200 into my account as a gesture of good-will, why pay this is you have done nothing wrong..... I have told them to remove this money as i do not wish this ammount i want the full /£1763.50.

My charges total £1763.50 and all this while in a divorce.

    Whats my next move....

If you have sent the letter before action you now have to start the court proceedings.

File a claim at the county court or mcol. You've given them enough time and have been more than reasonable to give them an extra 10 days.

The cost is a sliding scale depending on how much you are claiming, I think for you it will be £120 but this can be claimed back.

There is a link to this in the Reclaim Help Thread, link in my signature.
