Just had bill from Eon , im on fixed price till October 2013, but can leave anytime.
Electric was only £56
I'm normally savvy with bills, and I'm in shock. I pay £140 a month dual fuel.
Can you let me know what details are needed to help me see if anything cheaper.
I'm just baffled because the electric bill is cheap.
Thanks for any info or help.
Greatly appreciated
have a nice day

  • If you use gas to hear your house then how much gas have you used in that time and was the bill based on actual readings or an estimate?

Are those figures from the bill or your meter?

Were the figures read or estimated - start and end ones?

Using your gas figures gives a charge of £264. Is there a standing charge as well?

Was there a brought forward amount on the bill?

  • Figures from my bill

Figures were given to them by me ( we're more then they estimated)

    I pay £140 a month

This months direct debit has not been taken into account.

Can't see anything about standing charges,
    Says
    Discount new charges. £25.55
Cancelled discount for cancelled charges £22.33
    Total excluding vat. £279.19 cr
    Vat @ 5% on £37. £1.85
    Total inc vat. £38.85
Balance brought forward on account dated 8th feb. £99.88
    Balance. £138

Think that's all of my bill, tried to copy but couldn't do it.

So how did you get to the £558 figure?
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • £140. , a month, I pay via DD
    (over 3x month = £420)
Then £99 over my DD, bill amount over the 3 month period.
My bill amount was the over £500 on my statement.

Still have £140 to pay this month.
But now you come to mention it...I haven't got a clue.
That's my statement/bill. Then on my account history bill
    From
1st nov 2011 to 8th feb 2012. It says my charges are £553
So now I'm real confused, time to call.

if you multiply those figures above that doesnt even come close to £500 odd, even with the electric and vat taken into account, first thing i would do is take a meter reading and compare whats on your bill, it sounds as tho you have an estimated bill
unless theres other charges on there you havent mentioned like standing charges etc
  • were u in debt before this bill came in? if so that may also explain why, as they just add it on to your current bill,
