I hate Talktalk!

To cut a very long story short. I let talktalk talk me into taking over my line rental as they were charging me for it even though I had a BT line and was paying for that as well. Since talktalk took over my line last Friday I have had no broadban
d.
I have called them almost every day since then, waiting hours on hold for someone to answer the phone. In one case it was more than 100 minutes! My case has been passed to second line engineers, BT network engineers and I've even raised a complaint that should be dealt with by their CEO office, but after 2 days they haven't picked it up yet.
I have been promised that my fault will be fixed within 24 hrs, 48hrs or even 72hrs. I've been promised that someone will get in touch within 24hrs, 48hrs, 72hrs or even by 4pm tomorrow or possibly by 9pm today or possibl tomorrow.
In all this time I have been sent 2 job numbers by text. These are of no use whatsoever if you can never get anyone on the phone.
I have just had a text asking me to call technical support if my fault has not been fixed. To paraphrase someone else 'I may be gone sometime'
I have asked them to transfer my line back to BT but they are not listening to me!
I'm sending this from my phone so please excuse any typos. Off to waste another few hours or so trying to get through to them,
I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 2013

  • I was talking to my ex today. She moved home in January and has cancelled her line and broadband with TT. Yesterday she received a letter from them forwarded from her old address telling her they have renewed her contract for another year!

    This company is unbelieveable.

Thank goodness I changed my mind and never went with them after first agreeing to do so. I'm still getting letters from them addressing me as MRS!

  • Cancel asap as failure to meet their terms of service.

How do they keep their licence?

Taken me 3 1/2 months to realise I was never going to get the service/package I signed up for. Nightmare to leave!!
Back to Sky never had any probs. Thought I'd save a couple of quid. Never again !!!

Talk Talk = bandits of the highest calibre. Bitten once, never again, not even if they were giving it away.
  • Mark - how do I join the talk talk members forum when I have no internet access??

I can post simple messages from my phone but have no desire to try and navigate through the talk talk website to sign up to a forum I have never seen.e

I am writing this message whilst on the phone to talk talk yet again. They called an left a message whilst I was at work and asked me to phone them if I still had a problem. I've been on the phone waiting to get through to the technical team. Only 47 mins so far. Still got some way to go to get to the 107 minutes I spent on the line the other day!

For a telecommunications company, they don't like customers ringing them! Drop them asap...they don't get any better. Good luck.
  • I would if I could. The person I was talking to last night refused to generate a MAC code as they were going to send me a router. I'll have to try another day. I've had enough today. Will write a long complaint letter as I can't email them.

  • it's 12 days now and still no internet!!!

After phoning them back at their request last night I waited (wasted) another hour and a half or so to be told that there was still a problem and that someone was DEFINITELY working on it.

I can't wait for today's installment. They are supposed to call me on my mobile. I won't hold my breath.

  • I sent off my letter of complaint today as I was fed up with them ignoring my request for a MAC code amongst a whole list of other issues.

I'll wait for their response to my request for a MAC code and the ability to get my phone and broadband services from another provider without having to pay their £140 breakage fee.

It should be my decision as to whether or not to leave them regardless of any breakage fee that they want to charge. It should not be up to a member of their staff to decide that they are not going to give me a MAC Code

If you're on TT's full LLU then the MAC code process doesn't apply - it's only for transfers where the line rental is with BT (or a reseller). If not then they're in breach of OFCOM's regulations regarding issuance of MAC codes.
