Which PAYG tariff?

I'm currently on the 3Pay pay as you go tariff from Three which is no longer available. They're changing the terms so it'll work out dearer for me (basically the free data and texts you get for topping up will only last for 45 days not 90 days as now).
I use about 1MB of data per day and send 20 texts per month and the odd short call (I try and use VoIP for calls as much as I can).
What's the cheapest pay as you go network and tariff out there for me? I've tried various comparison sites but data doesn't seem to feature really, and that's my main use.
I think I'll end up spending about £45 a year on the new 3Pay terms, good by some standards i know, but I was previously spending half that, so I'm keen to limit the increase.
Many thanks.

Thanks, I hadn't heard of them. I was after PAYG really so costs are totally controlled (you can't spend what you haven't topped up).0 -

Isn't it 500MB OR 50 minutes OR 83 texts?

Yes, I think you are right. You spend £5 credit on buying 500 Mb.0

3Pay will give 150MB plus 25 texts both of which last for 45 days (previously 90) so giffgaff would work out dearer as I only need approx 30MB a month.
I'm guessing 3Pay is still the cheapest option for me despite them halving the time data and texts last for.
As an aside I see Vectone get some terrible reviews for customer service, mischarging etc.0 -

On Orange Monkey a £5 top up gets you 25 free texts and a daily 2MB data allowance for free - meaning you still have the £5 credit.
This credit can be used for the few odd calls you say you may need, too.
You can use GetPoundsBack to cash in accured credit build up (£10 in credit can be converted into £6.02 cash)
So, allowing for 80p or so of each £5 top up to go on the odd call, 25 texts and 2MB/data daily are included top up rewards, total topping up will cost £60/year but if you've got £50 credit to cash in, that means £30 in costs refunded, so total cost is £30 for the year, or £2.50 per month.
It's also genuine PAYG which you seem to be after. No bills. Only topping up.0 -
Seconding this question. I think I've worked out that it's still the best deal for me (also taking advantage of the free 3-to-3 calls quite a bit). To beat it, a Network would have to offer, for £3.30/month:
- Some free texts
- 100MB of internet (scaling down from 150MB/45 days)
- Free calls on the same network.
But if one only makes limited use of the latter, and makes more calls outside the network, then it looks like one might be able to save.0 -
Another option is to use a text shortcode to donate your unwanted credit to charity. Usually 100% of your money goes to Charity (rather than you getting ~60% through the methods above). So overall Three will have taken the same amount of money from you.

[100% goes if you use any charity with a 70070 Vodafone JustTextGiving number, or BBC Children in Need, at least]0 -
Have a look at https://www.icardmobile.co.uk, they also offer free icard to icard calls (but only for 10 minutes at a time)0
