Lime juice and bicarbonate of soda. Both sprinkled on. Leave for 5 mins. Wipe clean with a wet cloth.
  • I use Astonish on mine (can sometimes be found in the £1 shops), I then wipe down with a little baby oil to protect it from future smears.

:D Baby oil and cotton wool for me, wife uses it on the cooker hood as well:rotfl:
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!
  • If using baby oil which I do remember you will need to occasionally get it back to square 1 again, to prevent build up.
Use a nice soft sponge with washing up liquid and warm water, dry with kitchen towel and then re wipe with baby oil. Any other oil can be to thick and cause build up quicker.
  • We bought a stainless steel fridge for well a lot of money well over 2K and well ok we at the time had more money then sense and the only thing that works on cleaning this is baby Oil. I have never tried anything other than Johnsons Baby Oil and it works a treat each time.

The doors are mainly frosted glass so I clean those first with a separate cleaner and remove any hard or major marks on the stainless steel with a cloth but for buffing and cleaning the stainless steel so it comes up as good as new well I can't go wrong with Baby oil. sounds mad but works a treat.

When the fridge people came to install the fridge freezer from Armana a well respected leading company they actually told me to clean it with baby oil.

    Hope that helps

I tried Baby Oil which leaves a film on the surface but looks ok BUT after a few weeks all the grime sticks to it again !

I used Glass Cleaner and Oh My God what a difference. It's now GLEAMING !

You may have to do it twice though to take the Bay Oil off to get rid of any smears !!

    GLASS CLEANER = AWSOME !

It was Mr Muscle Glass Cleaner i used. (It even states on it "use for Stainless Steel) :)
  • I will try that for removing the grime, the added bonus is with the oil is it does not leave finger prints smears on it after you have done it. It is a pain to remove the oil after a while but it does not take that long, and I have everything stainless steel in my kitchen fridge, dishwasher, all appliances and utensils, saucepans etc.
  • Hi - go to Lidl & get their `W5 Stainless steel cleaner'. Cannot be too expensive or I wouldn't have bought myself. It's truly brill, needs a bit of good ole elbow grease but works on my cooker hood a dream. - Can't believe I'm raving over a KITCHEN CLEANER for heavens sake ! Where is my life?
