    Either that or consolidation.
  • OH I used to be on first name terms with the staff in my bank and they always knew what I was waiting in the queue for . . . I even once went in demanding a temporary overdraft extension so I had the bus fare home.
Then I discovered consolidation, did that twice, last year I tried again, thankfully (although didnt feel like that at time) they said no. I have reduced my debt by around two thirds now (mainly due to a windfall I had, but still, I didnt go on holidays with it, or buy designer clothes).

Yep and the good thing was I could do it on line and not have to do it face to face so there was no embarassment. I used to put my hand over the part of the screen were the decision would be so it would be like a little surprise! Maybe thats part of the debt problem, not so long ago, you would have to speak to your bank manager to get an overdraft now its as easy as clicking a button!

And the days when Sky Movies were an essential, not the spawn of satan, sitting there between me and debt-freedom!

  • And using your credit card to pay for the meal so you could have the cash from your friends was excellent money management? Because OF COURSE you would pay it all off at the end of the month?

When the only thing you put on your CC was petrol and you always paid it off at the end of the month!

You thought - they'll never lend me that much - about 10K ago!
    I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.
