I took a deal with BT for broadband at home, now then they have disconnected me due to none payment of a bill, cancelled the contract but hit me with a bill for the whole 12 months.
Is there anyone who can help me try & sort them out.
Thanks in advance.

you never paid your bill, your line got d/c.
T&C's for broadband is you need to keep an active line. You've breached this, as your line was d.c as you paid late.
