Talk Talk- is this affected badly by LLU?

I know that broadband connections are affected by how close you are to exchanges. I was looking at changing to Talk Talk as they are so cheap, but loads of people on here say their Broadband connections speeds etc are dreadful. Does anyone know if this is in general, or are those people just further from the local exchanges? Be grateful for help as just wanting cheaper Broadband and Line rental as Virgin Media who we are with seem extortionate. Thanks.

I live fifteen mins from the exchange in my area,have been with TalkTalk seven years.these days I am lucky to get on the internet for a couple of hours a day,its driving me nuts when I do get on the connection keeps droppping my computer freezes and its just terrible.I will not be renewing my contract with them.I think they have taken on too many new customers.
