No. 48, Get a third off train travel for over-60s mentions the Senior Railcard, but NOT the Disabled Persons Railcard.

It has a couple of big advantages over the Senior Railcard: it's cheaper, AND a companion can travel with you at the same discounted price.

Now, this isn't as difficult to get as you might expect:
Are you eligible?
You may qualify if you:

Receive disability-related benefits
Are registered as deaf or use a hearing aid
Are registered as visually impaired
Have epilepsy
