Is my iPhone 3GS from o2 unlocked?

as per title.

I had the phone for 2 years and a few months on a 24 month contract, contract has finished and I have moved onto o2 pay and go.

In addition I just got a vodaphone pay as you go sim card, put it in and dialled their customer services and it went through, so I'm assuming it works. Silly me I didn't try to call the vodaphone number from my home phone to double check before I cut up the sim card and binned it.

But I think being able to call the operator and even for the phone to recognise the network is good enough sign that it works.

So does that mean that since it works with vodaphone that it works with all networks?

iPhones are funny there isn't a way to check the lock status in the way that you were able to do in those classic nokia handsets dialling *#06#

Yes, you phone seem to be not locked - as many (majority of) phones sold by O2.
