How can I sucure my monitor to my desk?

I would not bother with double sided tape, the stuff that available out there for the general public to buy is not sticky enough and will lose its grip.
As will blu tack.
Much better to go for the screw method from the outset, much less likely to come unstuck when you do not realise and allow puss puss to push push it over.

A "C Clamp" or a "G Clamp" might work too and would probably be my choice since the monitor or desk is not drilled/screwed and can easily be removed. Only thing is to be careful of the base of the monitor when securing so a thin plate or something similar can be used to place over the base of the monitor stand to prevent scratching or cracking.
Something like this should work: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-1-2-Inch-Hobby-Fret-G-Clamp-403-/260951694886?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3cc1eede26
Or a "deep throat" clamp such as this if the monitor is not at the edge of the desk: http://www.powertoolsdirect.com/faithfull-g-clamp-deep-throat-200mm-8-inch-cap-85mm-3-inch0 -
Get a wall-mount, even if you don't want to mount the monitor on the wall. Assuming back of desk is against wall.....
Buy a piece of 12mm plywood, at least as tall as desk height + monitor height, and at least as wide as the wall mount you're going to use. Buy wall mount to match monitor.
secure wall plate of the wall mount to the plywood, stand plywood vertically behind desk, between desk and wall, and attach monitor (with the matching half of the wall mount attached) onto plywood+mount.0
