Yep, you said you didn't want an AV receiver but that's what you're buying. Well done for researching first and buying second. You're now buying something that's more futureproof and expandable than any of those packages, and you can upgrade as you go, if needed.

Well done you won't regret your purchase, as with your original choice of system you more than likely wouldn't have got 5.1 from an external source. From the yamaha you will:D
