I have to sit on my hands! :D

You don't even have to go back to school (I didn't learn to spell there). Words are all around us, it's just about actually taking a little notice of how things are spelt. One of the best things to do is put the subtitles/closed captioning on the telly - that's pretty much how I learnt to spell.

I wouldn't use subtitles to teach correct spelling, they are very bad at times.:mad:

Sorry to here about your irony deficiency. :p

To be fair it's not obvious that it's irony. When I saw your post I estimated a 70% chance of irony.

    There's no irony at all.

But at least he's not claiming to be dyslexic:rotfl:

It's something that's annoying me on facebook a lot at the moment. I don't know why people can't type properly. I don't mind the spelling mistakes so much it's the text speak.

Someone always writes hum when they mean home!

Someone else confuses her too's and to's :mad:

"And u r out in you" Took me a while to decipher this as "and you are out aren't you"

"fankooooo me likey 2" It would have been quicker to type thank you.

There is some truly depressing spelling on this site. One example I saw recently was somebody talking about "restbite" (respite).

The emoticon has a lot to answer for. People don't need to know how to express emotion in words anymore. You can say something mean and then put a :p on the end to say that you're kidding.

My other pet peeve is people who put "lol" in every sentence they write online. Again, laziness in terms of expressing themselves.

It wouldn't be so bad Azari but these are all 30+ women.
