Hi,
Moving into a new flat at the end of the month and was wondering what people thought the best provider of Digital TV was.
We just want a basic package (no HD) but with Sky Sports. Best I've found is with Sky for £40, but this also gives us cashback through one of the websites.
Any thoughts? Any help?
Thanks in advance

If you want Sky Sports, then your only options are Sky, VM cable (if available) or Top-Up TV (if Freeview is available).
If the latter two are not available (you don't say), then it's Hobson's choice. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for your reply.
I can't get Virgin Media cable in my area, but I've not heard of Top-Up TV before. I think I'll end up just going with Sky for ease - and might go with their broadband too.0 -
TUTV offer subscription channels on the Freeview platform:

I've just had a look at the Top Up Tv and, with sports, it's coming up as £34 a month, but with one off charge of £70. I might as well go with the £40 a month Sky deal but then get approximately £70 back in cash back.
Thanks for the info0 -
However, your ongoing extra cost would be £72pa after the first year.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I don't think I can look ahead further than a year, as anything may have happened with my career and accommodation.
Think I'll go with Sky, thanks anyway for your help0 -
In that case TUTV may be a better option, as it's more 'portable', and only requires a 1m sub. Sky is a minimum 12m contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Also worth bearing in mind that there have been strong rumours that Sky Sports will be taken off TUTV if BT Vision drops the service!!!0

Also note that TopUpTV only has two Sky Sports channels compared to the five on Sky (which also gives you the basic Entertainment pack as well) - so which is the better value for money?0

check that you can get broadband unlimited/everyday lite - your exchange may only be available for Connect which is not good (avoiding nasty words here) and costs £17 per month, line rental is £12.25 if you have a compatible BT phone line already in the house, unlimited BB is £7.50 per month, everyday lite (up to 2GB usage a month) is free with sky talk packages - sky talk anytime £5 per month for anytime calls to 01, 02, 03 and 0870 numbers, sky talk freetime is free but limited to calls to same numbers as above but after 7pm.Thanks for your reply.
