Thomas Cook flights

Hi
I have been trawling the internet looking for flights to Las Vegas from Manchester for September, so much so that I am dreaming about it! I have fund a direct flight for less than an indirect flight...but...it is with Thomas Cook and I know they are in financial trouble.
Does anybody have any ideas about whether it is safe to use Thomas Cook or are they likely to go bust?

It is highly unlikely the banks will pull the plug on the whole operation but if you book on line with Thomas Cook Airlines, you do not get ATOL protection. You must therefore use a credit card to get protection under the Consumer Credit Act or a Visa Debit card that offers a non binding but seemingly as good protection. However you might want to have a look at some reviews of TC flights before booking an 11 hour journey with them, as a general rule, flights are cheaper for a reason

Hey. They wont be going bust so It's safe to book with them.
However just consider that there is no in-flight entertainment and the legroom is soo small compare to other airlines.

They are in financial difficulties but it's most likely that they will pull through. I've been bitten too many times before unfortunately to take any more chances. If Northern Rock can go then I'm sure Thomas Cook could, but hopefully not.
