ok - When and Where - if you live in the country, seaside, suburbs, city or town it will affect your holiday experience! also the time of year!
  • Does your local cinema do a movies for juniors on a Saturday morning. Mine is only £1 per person, just remember to bring your own sweets and pop!

    Hey,

Thanks for the quick replies. Unfortunately none of the cinemas are nearby :( We're quite rural here so need to keep things simple and apart from a country walk, doing some potato print, baking and watching dvd's, I'm lost for inspiration!!

Could you camp out in the living room or something like that on camp beds/ sleeping bags?

I did something similar with mine.. we camped, swimming, went local (free) sightseeing, took loads of photos
In the evening no TV, instead card games and board games
Nice food, drinks and lots of fun
I meant to let them write a postcard to Grandma but I forgot about that bit!

  • What about making some salt dough craft decorations/models. Easy and cheap to make the dough.

    Ingredients
    4 cups flour
    1 cup salt
1 -1/2 cups hot water (tap water)
    2 teaspoons vegetable oil (optional)
    Instructions:

Combine the salt and flour in a mixing bowl
Gradually add the water until the dough becomes elastic
    Add the vegetable oil
If your dough is too sticky, add more flour....too crumbly....add more water.

You can let your salt dough creations air dry, however salt dough can also be dried in the oven. Bake at 200 F until your creation is dry. The amount of time needed to bake your creations depends on size and thickness; thin flat ornaments may only take 45-60 minutes, thicker creations can take 2-3 hours or more. You can increase your oven temperature to 350 F, your dough will dry faster but it may also brown, which won't matter if you are painting your entire creation (you can also cover your dough in the oven before it turns brown).

Once dry you can paint your creations (acrylic paint needed, I think).

Store your salt dough in a sealed container in the refrigerator, but usually not more than a couple of days.

as you are all girls - have a 'spa weekend'! get in some nail polish and emery boards etc. sort out some stuff for 'facials'! spend the whole weekend wrapped in dressing gowns (apart from the 'fitness hours' - when you wear 'leotards' (swimsuits)). you provide 'health food lunches and suppers'. make them down 'health drinks'! get in some girly DVDs for the evening 'entertainment'
have luxury 'bubble baths' - look online for health spas and copy their iterinary! make your own and give the girls a leaflet! even do massages with your olive oil!
    could be great fun!
