In a cottage for the weekend, all on my own

A jack russell might be small in size but the bark could pack a punch ! Make sure you keep your mobile phone charged, take candles, matches, torch and battery radio (leave the swiss army penknife, survival pack and compass at home !) give your ex the address just in case, and take advantage of doing what you want when you want. Have a good time

How liberating! Go you! I agree with the indulgent weekend idea, use it to strengthen your resolve with some r&r. Do a nice shop and take your favourite foods with you, plus something to nibble preferably chocolate for Saturday night! Pack some dvd's. Have a lovely lovely time!!0

Aww, you will be fine! Do as the others say and make it a really nice, indulgent weekend - it sounds lovely0 -
Make sure you lock up before it gets dark, keep your phone charged, and take lots of books / CDs / DVDs and some lovely indulgent adult food - lobster from Lidl, dips, bottle of prosecco from Aldi, whatever you fancy as a treat - and enjoy!
Wish I was doing that - I love having a few days of solitude every now & then to recharge my batteries.0 -

I live alone mon-fri in a Farmhouse..with my pets. My dh works away from home.
Lots goes bump here in the night..the wind howls and the building creaks and groans. Sometimes a ump is a bit nerve rattling, and sometimes, rarely, its. A little scary. The feeling of getting through that is marvellous, and gives an opportunity ti laugh at myself...which is always healthy.
Most of the time it is wonderful, i love it. No one interrupts the film or programme i am watching or listening to. Or interrupts my bath. (the phone still rings, but i take thT inthe bathroom now ) and i can read when iwant to, at what i want to, sing at the top of my voice...in privacy and seclution. Its really is quite blissful. And imo, important. If we had more time feeling confident and happy in our own skin i think we would be happier people.0 -

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
I'd love to spend the weekend alone with my dog. I do accept though that some cannot bear being alone.4.30: conduct pigeon orchestra...0
