I've been after a cheap trolley jack for a little while but never got round to getting one. Just noticed that Lidl have one on offer from tomorrow for £19.99.
Anyone ever had one from Lidl in the past, likely to be any good?

Never work under a car supported by just a jack. How much are their axle stands? The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

No axle stands on the website or the leaflet that came through the door today. Just be for changing wheels mainly.0 -
I've got a pair of sealey strongarm 2 ton trolley jacks that I got from Machine Mart and they've served me well for at least 8 years. For axle stands the ones from Halfords are sturdy and a good price.
IMO it's best not to scrimp on too much on this kind of gear and as above never work under a car that's only on a trolley jack.0 -
Both Aldi and Lidl are doing a trolley jack.
Never bought that specifically, but all the rest of their tools are very good, and excellent value for money.
edit - I'd go for Lidl, as it looks better, and has a directonal handle.0 -
Lidl's tools and other stuff are usually pretty good. I bought a trolley jack from lidl about 2 years ago and can't say i have had any issues with it.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

if its one of those little trolley jacks just be aware that they need using on a flat surface so the wheels can move as the arm jacks up because otherwise they can jolt unexpectedly, also bare in mind they can be unstable sideways
better than a scissor jack though0 -
Always lay a wheel under the car near to the jack BEFORE you get under it, if the jack gives way you'll have saved yourself from a brake disc through the ribcage.
Safety first people!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
