Rent arrears and threat of eviction

I probably have been panicked into taking this loan, in order to get the arrears paid, but I would rather get them paid and have the threat of court completely removed. I suffer from anxiety related illness and I don't think I could cope mentally with that hanging over me for the next few months - because even though I worked out a strategy to get the arrears paid by end of March meaning the arrears would most likely be cleared by the time of a court date, I am worried that if it gets to court, because of my partner's previous sequestration, they will still try to push for eviction on the grounds that he is an unreliable tenant.
No, that would be insufficient grounds for an eviction.

Now you have mentioned anxiety, I would counsel you to have a good think about your situation. Your partner is fairly obviously completely the opposite and will adopt high risk behaviour like putting Xmas ahead of rent. He would probably be a fairly good counterbalance to you if his behaviour did not bring down high stress situations, in that he could reassure you a great deal about how things might turn out, by not letting them upset him. But because it is his behaviour which can bring about a situation, I fear that if he does not get himself sorted out the stress may be too much for you.

In the long run, you are going to be dealing with this by exercising control - as you indicate for the purse strings. Beware. This may cause great friction later on, particularly if your partner thrives on the stress resulting from sequestration and potential eviction.

I appreciate that to many that is how the situation probably looks. But that isn't the case. Our moving in together had been on the cards way before any of this, and January had always been the plan.

I have known him for nearly 15 years (although we haven't been 'together' for all of that time), and he genuinely isn't the kind of person who would be that underhand. He is just really disorganised, and suffers from 'ostrich syndrome'.

I do appreciate the advice and the sentiment behind it though.
