  • :j Thanks guys I've managed to crack it been at it all day! found it for £43.10 each with split tickets and a change at crewe! Or can get it for £41.42 group discount for 9 of us but didnt think it would be worth the risk if someone dropped out.
So all in all a saving of £24.90 each! from the cheap advance fare direct.
    Thanks!

For Grouptravel, the whole group must travel together for the whole route. So if groupsave ticket covers 4 people, all 4 people must travel together.
I agree that all people using a Groupsave ticket must travel together.

    We are not discussing Groupsave.
The OP has been directed towards group travel for groups of 10 or more.

If you can state that a group of nine people cannot travel on tickets bought under the scheme for groups of 10 or more, then please say so and if possible kindly provide a link. Thanks.

If you can wait a couple of days, follow the advice in post #7 when the advance fares will be released.

There are plenty of knowledgeable people on the RailUK forums who will tell you what is and what is not permitted with group travel and be able to back it up with reference to conditions that apply to rail travel.

Best bet is to go to RailUKforum, Fare,Tickets & Routing and ask there.

i wud avoid that website at the moment as google reports it full of malware :eek::eek:

    From Google:

Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.'
