I did not say is illegal, I said that is dangerous and can cause fatalities for motorcyclists not for drivers.

the fact is clear, it is dangerous that is why in many countries is not allowed.
It is dangerous when done carelessly or when drivers do not look out for it.

Can we have both of these in the test perhaps?

Drivers: When looking to change lanes in slow-moving traffic, be aware of motorcyclists.

Bikers: If a car is already indicating, you should not pass on that side - filtering or otherwise.
I need to think of something new here...

Good idea, but as Lum says if it's done clumsily it won't help matters.

I won't get into filtering, only to agree with Liz; But as with *all* manoeuvres, by *all* road users (including foot soldiers), it's your responsibility to know beforehand that it's safe before you commit.

Done i am a Biker as well as a car driver
I think all new drivers should be made to ride a bike before moving onto 4 wheels
  • From the petition

"In order to raise awareness of motorcyclists on Britain’s roads, Bennetts, the UK's No.1 Bike Insurance Specialist"

Personally I wont be assisting Bennets with their publicity stunt.

I think some bikers need a CT scan before they are allowed on the road.

On the A5 a couple of months back, 50 limit with a large lorry behind me doing
    50 also (naughty boy).

Spots biker coming up fast on the offside, What is that i wonder, As i approach the layby
van & trailer pulls out, Biker got a bit of a shock as me and the lorry brake quite hard.

Seems superbikes dont stop and steer that well when they are only on one wheel.

Overtaking moving traffic on one wheel. Stupid...

I think all drivers need to see how other vehicles behave, See how long a truck takes to stop might stop them overtaking at the last second and cutting in front of them.
Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...
