I would think that the FSCS will deal with this now if your policy was sold on or after 14th Jan 2005? They can only deal with PPI missales from that date and not before though.anyone have an idea where to go next with this or who to approach?
You will however have to wait for the company to be declared in default.

Once the firm is declared in default the FSCS will then be able to send you out the forms to fill in (similar to FOS) and then they get the ball rolling. In the FOS queue you can then wait a considerable amount of months, sometimes years according to posts on here but with the FSCS you usually get things over with in a much shorter time.
All this is "after " the firm has been declared in default though and this can take time. I have looked over the internet to see if Norton have gone into administration (and searched the Gazette too) and cannot see anything yet!
Also to add you would not get back (if you win) quite the same amount as winning through FOS as there is a slight difference but it is paid with statutory interest....
There is a link here explaining the amounts.

You should continue to pursue the complaint via Norton and FOS for the time being. Only when it becomes apparent that Norton has liabilities to consumers that it cannot meet will the FSCS declare it in default.0

not had dealings with norton but have just has a successful claim from welcome who were overseen by the fscs. my claim was done and dusted in 5 weeks which was what i consider fast0

Thanks sazdaz
I hope my claim will be sorted as fast, however still hanging around waiting for norton to be declared in default, and Ive got a feeling that in itself is going to take ages....
