Glad this was on the strength of the bus pass! - was beginning to fear someone might say it to me just looking at me, which would rather cancel out the boost I'd get from the discount!:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm with you on that snowleopard!! The SA didn't mention the discount before she saw my pass, even with my more-grey-than-black hair!!! :rotfl:

I didn't realise it was 60 in Scotland. How does it work? I live in both England and Scotland - not simultaneously!! I am on the electoral register in England simply because I've never changed it. And before anyone shouts second home buyer depriving the locals, I've always had a home in Scotland I just have an English husband and children.

I live in Scotland, am 62 and therefore have had mine for two years now, and what a blessing it is.

tubbee2, where are you on the electoral roll, as I think that that will be the country....and NO I'm not into the cutting up of the UK à la Alex Salmond......that will issue you with your bus pass.

Maybe your local library can help, as that is where collected and I handed in my paperwork for my pass.

But it is only valid in Scotland.

My son lives in England and when we visit him we have to pay on the bus.

Same when his F/MIL come to Scotland, they have to pay on the buses despite having a bus pass for England.

It works by just contacting local council or post office, get form and fill it in with proof of age and address and enclose a passport photo. Bus pass posted out a few days later.
