Valued Opinions Survey - Personal Care

Hi
I received the request to complete this survey for £1.00 which I spent over 20 minutes doing, only for the website to display an error page. According to my valued opinions account, the survey is incomplete. My other half had a look at the website and it appears that the survey contains a fake HTTP error so basically we believe that they have done this on purpose to not to have to pay people the £1.00. I have informed Valued Opinions, twice, even offering to send them the link to the error and a copy of the source code but no response so far.....
Has anyone else had this problem with this survey? It's not really about the £1.00 now, it's the principal of it!

I complete a V.O. survey on Monday on Personal care - hand soap & sanitizer etc but completed it okay. The £1.50 credit showed as pending on my account for 12 hours but then disappeared. Perhaps they had some problems? I have asked them about it via the 'contact' page and await a reply (they are one of the better sites for replying to queries)

I registered for this at the end of December and usually got a survey every other day, I have £10.25 already in my account with another £6 to be credited in there.

However, I still have been credited for a 50p survey that I did back on Xmas Day.

Also, I haven't had any new surveys to do in well over a week. Do they slow down once you've reached £10, i'm going to wait a bit before I 'cash in' and try and aim for £50.

Hi there - I know the exact survey you mention, and exactly the same happened to me. It is annoying when you spend so much time and effort. I have also emailed V.O., but they are notoriously slow in their replies, I have had issues in the past where it took me 8 months to get a £10 Tesco voucher they claim they sent out, (after multiple emails).

Personally, I wouldn't do that. I'd cash in at each £10 voucher as soon as possible, as if a survey company goes bust then you lose everything you've earnt.

I had the same problem, I thought it was just my internet playing up but obviously it wasn't!
  • Hello everyone - thanks for the replies - I am very lucky that my husband (who is a software engineer) happened to be there at the right time when I was getting frustrated with their website! I have just contacted Valued Opinions for the third time, this time using a little stronger wording than I previously have as all I have received so far is a standard response saying that if I have linked back to their website my account will be credited within 28 days etc etc etc. I have even shown them where in the website code it displays the image and that no further questions appear to exist!! So we will see what they come up with for their next response!! I wonder how their "customer" which could be Boots...? would say if they knew that they were paying for information that was gained in such a way...!? Will report back when I receive a response....!!!

I have been a member of VO for a long time and have done quite well out of it with regular vouchers.

However, it can be quite annoying at times and I have experienced many instances of pages failing to load towards the end of a survey. I recently took part in a survey worth 0.50 whcih was supposed to be for 5 minutes but right near the end I was screened out!!! I have learnt there is no point complaining about screen outs even when it happens late in the survey as the staff simply refuse paying.
  • Hi everyone - Good news!! It took three emails each explaining the problem in detail but I have received an email today to confirm my account has been credited manually!! I know it is only £1.00 but it was the principal that they had done this on purpose to get the info from people and not pay! I hope that each of you that have also experienced this with this particular survey will also get your reward!! I am up to £9.75 on my account now and haven't qualified for the past few surveys but live in hope that I will soon reach my first £10.00!!

Iana - thanks for the response but I have now had this credited - if you would like to check the survey for yourself and then look in to all the other participants that took part but also saw the "error" message I am sure they would be grateful to have their accounts credited too. If you need more info regarding the problem, I have kept a copy of the webpage and source code so I can easily forward this to you for further investigation as to why this was included in the survey to make it impossible to complete.

    Helen.

Valued opinions are one of the better survey sites, but earlier this week I was screened out at the end of 2 higher paying surveys. It really annoyed me enough to email them (first time ever) and I havent had a reply.

    Hi everyone.

Has anyone done the 7 Day Survey about Sky which involved an initial survey, then texting/completing an online diary and then a further survey at the end of the 7 days. The reward was for £4.

I've just completed the final part of the survey, clicked 'submit' and it say's you have already completed this survey. I went to check my transactions, and nothing has been added into my 'pending' list.

Anyone else have this problem. Pretty suspicious that it has somehow messed up when the reward is for £4.
