Hi, I got my phone yesterday & so far I'm quite impressed. I was just wondering, is anyone going to bother with insurance?0
-
am I da thick one here.
If you calculate the monthly cost based on paying £30 a month and subtract the amount you can claim back it comes to over £6 a month.
The way they get it down to such a 'bargain' price is with the half price for the first 3 months.
But that is credited back to your account. Am I being cynical in assuming that this goes on the following months bill as a £15 credit towards calls for that month - so unless you use all your free calls and then another £15 worth of calls at the usual high mobile rates, you don't actually see the benefit?
Tell me I'm wrong please, cos I'd probably get one if so...!0 -
Will these phones work in America?
We appreciate that there would be additional costs in using and receiving calls, but could find no mention within the phone specification as to whether they were dual or tri-band.I came, I saw, I did a little browsing.0 -

'3' will only bill you £15 for the first 3 months and £30 thereafter for the remaining 9 months. They don't apply any £15 credits to your bills.0 -

worst case scenario - you lose the phone after a week, it will cost you £24 over the year (1.99/month). Insurance is around £5 per month or £60 per year. Doesn't seem worth it, but you could always buy another phone just in case and it will still cost less than the insurance!!
These sums are assuming that you cancel the contract after losing the phone - otherwise if someone else keeps using it you could get billed loads.0 -
I'd pretty much reached the same conclusion myself. I had thought about upgrading my TSB account which would enable my husband and I to ensure both our phones for £5 a month but on reflection I think I'll not bother.
Thanks for the input anyway.0 -
I wanted to put a few pics son has taken with the nec e616 that I received a couple of days ago onto my computer.
I've put the disc in the PC, have chosen the correct language but instead of it saying click to install my pc is only allowing me to save to file.
Any help would be gratefully received before I go back to the 2 tin cans with a bit of string between them. All credit cards paid off.
