Unwanted feline visitor

I can't get close enough to put a note on his collar (don't even know if he has one). I think I am going to hide the food at night, my OH wants us to leave it as he reckons he will come looking for it otherwise. He probably will, until he realises he can't find it.
OH is also worried he might be hungry. I am too, but what can I do? I can't feed him as it will stress ours out if he comes back for more.0 -
I would do if they were both in, but Jimmy is sometimes out when I go to bed, and I don't want him out all night, especially if the other cat is out there, as Jimmy is a bit of a scaredy cat as far as other cats are concerned.
Ummmm...call the cat in for his tea and shut the door whilst Jimmy's chowing down?
Works for our wanderer, anyway.
And him being scared is why the Phantom Munchie Nicker is visiting. Vicious cycle, and all that.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

This is the beast... (the black and white one)

He weighs 8kgs....he is fed the same as our other adult cat and she is normal size...but he gets take-aways and I have no control over them. He is a complete and utter nightmare...and for anyone that recognises him from the picture, I apologies. I know the RSPCA saw me coming when I wanted to rehome a young cat/kitten (had adults cats already) and in middle of summer, only 1 kitten on offer...him....so home he came!
Looking at that pic gettingready posted, sums him up...we have a dog too and he isn't scared of them....he will walk up to people walking their dog and the dog normally doesn't know what to do, quite funny to watch.
The worst thing he has done has to be the time I thought I was stroking him one early morning...and when I got to the ears, I realised something wasn't right....it was a rabbit...a dead one he deposited on our bed.0 -
A cat keeps coming through out cat flap and helping itself to our cat's food, usually in the evening and at night.
I thought I would remove the food at night to the upstairs landing, but last night he came upstairs at 11.30 and was having a good old scoff until I realised what was going on and chased him out! I then moved it into the bedroom and at 3am I woke up and found him in the bedroom!
Now thinking I will have to take it away completely at night, and my cats will just have to wait until the morning if they want to eat. One of them mostly eats wet food anyway so she won't be too bothered, Jimmy is used to being able to snack whenever he feels like it though.
I do have a slight worry in my mind that it might be hungry although it looks quite healthy and not skinny or anything. Can someone reassure me that some cats are just greedy?
We had this happening and it stressed Lily so much she started peeing on the kitchen floor. We invested in a PetPorte microchip flap, not cheap when we got ours, £100 but recently they are available cheaper. Sureflap also do a microchip flap but I haven't tried it, only the PetPorte.
It was the best £100 we have spent where Lily is concerned. As soon as she realised the invader could no longer get in the indoor peeing stopped.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

He is a gorgeous big bruiser, mines a fat cat too but luckily is a little less mischevious

You've said the other cat doesn't look hungry, but that isn't the only issue - we used to have a cat that would come in and help himself to our cats food - and I was horrified when I was that it's coat was 'walking' - total flea infestation!!! The last thing you want coming into your home!! I would block up that cat flap quick!!0

Jimmy has cat flap issues so not sure how he would get on with a microchip cat flap. He is still learning the cat flap process (slightly complicated as it's through a wall and there are actually two).
Anyway, I removed the food and had a decent nights sleep, so either he didn't come or he came in, looked around and went out again.0
