Love the word "cost"... maybe you'd like to say what this "cost" might be? I'd be guessing it to be in the 10's of thousands!
Ok for for footballers, pop stars or Simon Cowell perhaps but then I doubt they'd be posting on here for advice when Nick Freeman is available.
For the rest of us common sense comes into play... maybe you've heard of it?Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0

I'd suggest that a quick Google of "NRSS Dream Team" would provide a full description of the prosecution line-up one is likely to face if opting for this line of defence. Crown Advocate Andrew Perry of the CPS really likes to play on this stage.they are several defences, but they cost, one is researching the equipment and seeing how the manufactures instruct on its use, many will not guarentee its accuracy if it is handheld and state it must be used on a tripod, once pulled on this this tend to "drop it" as they dont want it pulled in open court. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0

"In other words you have no idea because you weren't even looking at the speedo, had no intention of looking at it and didn't really care anyway."
TrickyWicky...no but as a good driver I have an idea of my speed at all times, if I was looking at the speedo the whole time that would be dangerous
"So in other words, you were driving dangerously without due care and attention, nearly caused and accident, got followed, put your foot down to make a speedy getaway without any concern if the other person was ok and then you got caught."
TrickyWicky I used the words 'cut up' to simplify the story (which takes up space) which is not actually a 'cut up' but as follows...actually I let a few drivers out out from a side turning and decided not to let the said driver out (the 2nd or 3rd car coming out) as I needed to carry on my journey...didnt cut anyone up but decided not to let the whole street in from the side road...
'Good. Drivers like you are a menace. Sorry if that offends you but its the truth.'
I think you have issues, for all you know I could have been driving 28 miles an hour and the policemans speed device may have been out of alignement...
This is a helpful forum, where we are trying to help each other if appropriate, yes at the end of the day I my have been speeding slightly...1000s of motorist do everyday...calling someone a menace is harsh
So your 'sorry' as you say accepted, just try and keep polite please, a courtesy I extend to you and say thanks for your comments0

TrickyWicky "given him the drivel you wrote above"
Again your statement is very harsh and I think you have issues0

The 3 points and £60 fine are probably the best scenario. The courts tend to frown on speeding and you may have it upped to 5-6!
As it's a speed laser gun, there is no picture so it's his word versus yours. The only possiblity would be a incorrectly calibrated laser gun which is not likely.Starting Weight (19/02/12): 17st, 1lb. Target Weight: 14st

roughrider, the point is that 'knowing roughly' what speed you're doing isn't the same as 'knowing' what speed you're doing is it. Yes I'm aware that the handgun must be calibrated etc and given that Kent Police had to drop 120 speeding prosecutions a few years back over this, you can bet your last fiver that all the forces over the country learnt from it. You don't need to keep your eyes glued to the speedo either, just a quick glance down at it every 5-10 seconds. Thats how I do it, thats how everyone else who obeys the limit does it and thats how we keep our licences clean. I know plenty of people who think that driving whilst using a phone is safe because they can 'multi task' yet watch a speedo and they'll claim its unsafe because its a distraction!
As for letting drivers out, fair enough I usually do a 1 out then go (also known as one in, one out) but YOU described it in a way that put you in a bad light and even admitted that you were being followed by the driver you cut up! How do you think that makes you look? - It makes you look like a really inconsiderate driver who doesn't care about anyone but themselves on the road. THAT is my issue. Having had my vehicle damaged by people who just drive off, its pretty easy to get annoyed with others who come here claiming to have a similar attitude.0

I find the speed limiter on my car a great device!!
But before we become all saintly how many of us can honestly say we "never break the limit"
However 42 in a 30 could be the difference between life and death to someone you hit.
OP I would take the FPN and look at it as a warning just to keep a watch on your speed!;)0

Don't think people should put their own morals on giving advice, the OP made a mistake and he is going to pay for it now. Just offer the advice but don't pass judgement as one you don't know the person you are slagging off, and two it's not the ethos of this site to do so, go ask Martin Lewis the reason he set up this forum.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
