Laura you obviously didnt check did you as you dont need a nectar card to apply for a loan with sainsburys, its pretty clear on the finance page that 1 isnt needed.

fozmcfc I'm certain that a troll would have something far more exciting and inflamatory to talk about than this! You must have known some very boring trolls.

You say that but have a read of asbokids posts, yours are far more interesting

    Thanks jon and rdchick.

bravehearted my basic salary is 30k and I earn approximately another 20k on top of that a year. I have 4k debt to my name.

    I'm okay, thank you.

Well if you earn all that and still get into debt then you really have little in terms of financial planning skills.

You must be taking your boyfriend for a mug borrowing off him interest free with such big earnings.

Next time he turns round, check to see if he has a zip at the back.

What have you got to show for your £50k a year?
  • Lol - maybe it's because she's fibbing.

OP, 30k and a bit of unguaranteed commission doesn't equal 50k.

And no, nobody here is jealous because thankfully either earn fair more or have more financial acumen.
  • Seems like you've all been had. £30k a year plus almost the same in bonuses (so i'm guessing it's sales and since she's 30 it'll be something like estate agent or car sales?) but seems totally delusional when it comes to money? Giving up £50k a year to earn next to nothing as a baby sitter? The clues are all there. Posting all there posts during the day when most high flyers on £50k would be working. It's all there, it's someone after a bit of attention, we all need it. It's a wind up.
  • I think it's good I've only just spotted this thread, it could have got well messy!
    Bizarreeeeeeee or what!

In a nutshell, the OP is in debt, is stressed, knows she's heading for a breakdown, just needs to give up stressfull job for six weeks, get a loan, then go childminding - those lucky lucky infants!!
  • I went into my bank too this afternoon and came out with 2 leaflets and a pen.

    Go me!

    Sorted :rotfl:
    DF
