fozmcfc I'm certain that a troll would have something far more exciting and inflamatory to talk about than this! You must have known some very boring trolls.0

You were still posting at half past four, they close at five. You managed to achieve a lot in half an hour. Do you live upstairs from a branch?
Well done for getting it sorted out anyway

LOL that's got a whiff of fish about it......well spotted."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
My branch closes at 6pm and actually yes, I am above the building next door but one to the bank. In and out and a very pleasant experience.0

A surreal thread if ever I saw one......odd"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

This must be a contender for 'thread of the year' surely?
Can't get a loan then suddenly an instant loan and credit card - very good, cracking
In a well paid job and can't afford piddly debts without a loan but can afford to pay the loan back without the well paid job?
People like this crack me up

They have also given me a credit card for my business expenses. My bank manager also agreed it is ridiculous for a person in my position not have the use of a credit card.

Course you did love.
Nice to see you've got a good line in story telling - that'll come in useful when childminding the kiddies.0 -
This is the funniest board in existence.. you guys really need to get out more if my thread wins thread of the year!! :rotfl:
I couldn't get a Zopa loan no (nor a Sainsburys one as you have to have a nectar card to apply which I didn't realise), but I got one from my bank who see me pay in a decent wage every month and keep a tidy account, I have no adverse debt. This was obviously the route to take.
Good supportive advice would have been: "Try your bank, if you have kept a good account with them then they may be more likely to lend you the money than Zopa or the like"
But no, a load of smug twattery instead and then cries of "ha-ha right you did, love" when I've sorted myself out... What a lovely bunch of people you all are.0 -
Also not sure why it is hard to comprehend that I could afford to continue paying my debts in the way I currently am, I could even save the money in 4/ 5 months to pay them off completely.
But I don't need to pay them off, I don't even want to, they are so small and will cost such a small amount per month to service once they are consolidated that I can just pay the piddly £120 a month (rather than £300+) and carry on with my life. What I can't do is stay in the job I am in, and unless I reduce my month outgoings I will have to.
That is simply THE MOST BASIC concept on the planet.
But I'm not going to waste any more time going on about it. I'm all sorted now and I'm really chuffed. Thanks for those who gave constructive advice. I am pleased I paid off the Very loan with some of the money I had saved this month.0
